INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT (YESTERDAY)

Having dictated his diary in his smartphone. PETER checks the time.

PETER (V.O.): It's already after midnight. Now is 2022.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel neither any ending nor any beginning. It's just a going on.

Peter receives non-stop New Year greetings.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):I've said goodbye to my younger son at the Airport.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's late. Let me say hello to 2022 when I wake up.

Peter goes to bed.

Act 2

INT. BAKERY - MORNING

Peter is window shopping.

PETER (V.O.): Oh, prices have risen. The proprietor should be happy.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): New Year is a good time to start something new.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Customers wouldn't complain much.

INT. DINING ROOM - LATER

Peter is sharing a bread with Kaji, the family pet.

PETER (V.O.): For Kaji, New Year is nothing. Routines make her happy.

Peter reads passages of a book.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For months now, I've been reading or re-reading something written by authors who are wiser and smarter than me.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I want to uncover my blind spots or to understand better the messages they're trying to convey.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): From today, I'll read broader and deeper. It's like decluttering, but of the intellectual kind.

INT. SITTING ROOM - LATE MORNING

Smartphone in hand, Peter thinks and types intermittently.

PETER (V.O.): Quorans pose me many questions, asking about my New Year resolutions and what should be theirs.

Typing and counting.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, I've shared about 30 off-the-cuff opinions. Viewers should be happy.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me now turn to something substantive.

Tapping the iMovie icon on his iPad Mini, Peter begins to edit a MV.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Years ago, I dreamt of a melody and immediately recorded it upon waking up.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The lyrics of the dreamlike song is about the New Year and my very good wishes.

Typing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The song is very different from my other songs. To me, the song is everlasting good.

Pausing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To celebrate 2022, all I need to do is to edit the video clips and some texts.

Editing.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Still a lot of effort is needed to produce something like that.

Checking.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, it's about right now.

Exporting the new MV, Peter discovers something.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, the MV's default title is "1 January 2022."

Act 3

EXT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

Smartphone in hand, Peter inserts a photo in his diary.

SEQUENCE OF SOME OF PETER'S DICTATIONS

A. In the morning, my younger son has already settled down in Australia.

B. In the early afternoon, I've sent my edited MV to reciprocate my friends' best wishes.

C. In the afternoon, while Kaji is being taken care of by her hairdresser, my wife and I had a happy meal.

D. Later, I discovered a model car of my S13 in Donki; and I bought it without hesitation.

E. In the evening, I learned that my elder son has bought a car.

F. Remarks: Today, I feel peace, purpose and joy!
