Having engaged each other for awhile, some of KAJI's new FRIENDS try to sniff her. Embarrassed, Kaji walks away.
Then, Kaji sees a friend's OWNER (30s) nearby.
KAJI (V.O.)
She looks very kind.
I can tell from her
facial expression and
her posture. She
should be responsive
to me.
Looking up, Kaji gazes at the owner.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd)
How are you? I'm
so pleased to meet
you!
As the owner lowers her posture and touches her on the forehead lovingly, Kaji climbs up on her lap.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd)
That's what I do with
Peter and others.
They don't mind at
all.
Kaji sniffs the owner's nose.
KAJI(V.O.) (Cont'd)
You smell different
from Peter.
The owner touches Kaji's forehead lovingly again.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)
I can predict your
actions. But I won't
lick your nose this
time. I lick Peter's
nose all the time
though.
Kaji sees the PACK LEADER and PETER observing their encounter in a distance. We hear indistinctly their conversations.
PACK LEADER
She's always more
friendly to humans
than to other dogs,
including her breed.
PETER
Yes, she's human,
and has no fear for
any humans.
PACK LEADER
That's because she
has never been
ill-treated before.
Every human she
meets has been
very kind to her.
PETER
Kindness is greater
than wisdom.
Kaji takes a look of the pack leader and Peter again.
KAJI (V.O.)
I know they won't mind
my making others'
happy.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd)
To me, time spent with
humans are never
wasted. I care for all
life. I'm the queen of
hearts!
