PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): From playing the guitar at the beginning to holding the conducting baton in the end - how dramatic.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was surprised that he had considered social work midway.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Anyhow, when preparation meets opportunity, success occurs.

Peter is watching the Science Channel.
PETER (V.O.): To make up for what I've missed as an Arts student, I love to watch this channel.
We hear:...cosmological natural selection...the complexity of our universe...largely unexplained...
PETER (V.O.): Cosmological natural selection? What a hypothesis!
We continue to hear:...the evolutionary ideas of reproduction and mutation of universes...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): So the process is like the biological design at the grandest scale?
Speculating.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Does the human brain mirror the operation of the universe too?
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How privileged that intelligent humans are naturally selected! And I, as I, am one of them!

INT. STUDY - 10:30
Opening his box brief case, Peter takes out some files.
PETER (V.O.): I've got to study my cases as court hearings are coming up.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's work, as I don't love doing lots of them now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My time is more previous than before.
FLASHBACK
INT. SITTING ROOM - YESTERDAY
Peter and his WIFE are watching TV news. We hear:.. a screenplay writer, died at the age of 69...
PETER: I'm already 68!
His wife pretends not listening.
END FLASHBACK
INT. RESTARANT - 14:30
Peter is having fish ball noodle in soup.
PETER (V.O.): I need a break from my work. I need to re-energize myself.
INT. STUDY - 15:30
Having studied a thick book, Peter puts it aside.
PETER (V.O.): Studying cases is boring. It also consumes lots of my brain energy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me do something that I love.
Checking Quora, Peter sees a request: On average, how far into the future do you know your plans off the top of your head?
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just about 6 months.

INT. SITTING ROOM - 22:00
The TV is showing drama.
PETER (V.O.): Career developments are complex phenomena.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To better understand music education or career, my friend's story can be a case study.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, when I love doing something, I'd also do lots of them.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.): My career developments then and now can also be a case study on legal education or career....
Peter checks the time.
