While working on a laptop, PETER glances the TV from time to time.
PETER (V.O): My wife didn't sleep last night, and we've been fully occupied today.
We see his WIFE tapping her mobile.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): We just managed to walk the dog in the evening, and after that, I've gone to the convenient store to top up my alipayHK account with cash.
Peter's wife finishes her tapping.
PETER: Are you able to help me complete the payment?
WIFE: No...but I've already placed the order for your AI-assisted translator via my account...
Peter looks pleased.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. BEDROOM - 06:30
As his wife slips into bed, Peter wakes up to observe her.
PETER (V.O): My wife must be very tired.
Peter then sees his wife tossing and turning, unable to find a comfortable position.
PETER: What's the matter?
WIFE: I can't fall asleep.
PETER (V.O): Our younger daughter returned to Japan. We had our last lecture in Korean. Today, we don't have any particular appointment.
INT. LIVING ROOM - 08:30
Having breakfast with Kaji, Peter checks an advert on his mobile.
PETER (V.O): Hmm, this 2024 AI-assisted translator should be a handy tool for me to communicate. Learning foreign languages isn't easy.

PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I should buy one and test how helpful it can be. My wife and I will visit Hokkaido in a few days.
We then see Peter tapping his mobile repeatedly, looking frustrated.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've a problem with the payment process.
Peter goes to join his wife on the sofa.
WIFE: Are you available from end Sept to early Oct?
Peter checks his phone calendar.
PETER: Hmm, I should be fine...You want to go somewhere during the period?
Don't forget our late Oct trip to Tokyo.
WIFE: I think we can travel before the next Korean class. I believe you won't join the class again.
PETER: Could you help me...
WIFE: Yesterday, I got a special offer from an airline - a flight from Hong Kong to Japan + a domestic flight.
Peter's wife begins to work on her laptop.
WIFE (Cont'd): I think we can visit Tottori again...Last time, we missed its sand dunes and the onsens.
Peter observes his wife working.

PETER (V.O): We hate change and love it at the same time.
