PETER speaks to his WIFE.
PETER: I'll go swimming in Gold Coast before returning to our NT home...
WIFE: I can't join you as I've an appointment with my coach in the gym.
PETER: I've got to start and run my stored cars. We've been away for nearly a fortnight.
INT. ESTATE CAR PARK - 14:15
Peter is jump-starting his red coupe.
PETER (V.O): When I took it back from the car repairer in end March, it had a brand new battery...
Hearing engine cranking sounds, we see cabin lighting. As there're red taillight reflections, Peter goes to check.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): OMG, the brake lights are on automatically again! The lighting switch was replaced in end March too.
Act 2
EXT. ROADS - 14:45
Peter is walking towards a MTR station.
PETER (V.O): My coupe is with my repairer again. I've to do it right away as the brake lights shouldn't be on all the time.
EXT. MTR CABIN/STATION - 15:15
Peter checks phone messages.
PETER (V.O): The Secretariat and I have discussed the issue at length. And now someone brings up the same issue...
Focused, Peter types on screen. We hear a train station announcement: Tin Shui Wai.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Tin Shui Wai? I should have got off at Yuen Long.
Getting off at Siu Hong station, Peter goes to wait at the adjacent platform.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Having done my planned errands, I'll swim in the evening, in a public swimming pool near my estate.
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - 17:00
Driveway. We see Peter starting and running his stored cars. As we hear mobile ringtones, Peter begins to engage in a lengthy phone conversation.
PETER (V.O): We meant to discuss the important matters in person two days later. But the other side has something come up unplanned...
INT/EXT. MALL - 17:45
Supermarket. Carrying a basket of ice creams, Peter spots a COUPLE and greets them warmly.
PETER (V.O): This is the first time we meet here, although we've been living here for decades.
Car park. Exiting with his numeric blue SMART, Peter sees the couple's black BMW behind and waves goodbye to them.
EXT. BUS - 20:00
Sitting with a mobile in hand, Peter types on screen.
PETER (V.O): I share my creative concept with the Secretariat. We've to work together to prove it.
Typing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'll be late for dinner, not to mention having a swim before that.
FLASHBACK
INT. HOTEL SUNSHINE, KINUGAWA - 19:15 (April 8, 2024)
Having deposited baggage in their suite, Peter's wife goes to the bathroom while Peter checks WhatsApp messages.
PETER (V.O): OMG! A solicitor friend wants to talk to me now...but the last dinner time of this hotel is 7:30pm...

INT. HOTEL, MASHIKO - 20:00 (April 9, 2024)
Restaurant. Having Kaiseki with his wife, Peter types on his mobile screen most of the time.
PETER (V.O): A legislator is seeking my advice on how to create better value for the profession in light of Hong Kong's developments...
Typing "short term:...medium term...long term...riders..."
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): As soon as I read about his request, I've to respond. He doesn't know I'm motoring in Japan with my wife...
EXT/INT. GARDEN HOTEL, NARITA - 17: 30 (April 10, 2024)
As he is carrying baggage from the car park to the Hotel, Peter hears a phone notification.
PETER (V.O): I've a hunch that this is urgent.
Checking, Peter sees copies of statements on screen. He reads them carefully.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): A good friend needs to know if the content is okay before she signs them.
Re-reading the contents again, Peter types "okay" as he and his wife enter their room.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm glad that that's done now, as minutes later, I'll be driving and returning our rental car to the car hirer.

Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - 14:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "A Day Unscripted..." to a text.
PETER (V.O): The events of a day can be unpredictable and spontaneous.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Life is full of twists and turns.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I just embrace the unplanned and find joy in the spontaneity of life!
