PETER is checking images on his smartphone screen.
PETER (V.O.): Visiting my NT home this afternoon, I've captured little moments, among other things.
We see images of fallen leaves, a pigeon, a fish, a swan, flowers...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're all colourful.
Then, we see the images of a faded photo, an envelop and a letter.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, there're lots of stories behind them.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me begin with the faded photo, depicting two gentlemen and me.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. AMBIOSE, FRANCE - SUMMER (1990)
Royal Chateau. Sitting at a dining table with other GUESTS, Peter (36) sees the white-haired GENTLEMAN (69) and a LADY appearing.
PETER (V.O.): Here comes WIPO's Director-General (DG) and his wife.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No one should miss a dinner in a castle.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That was the first time I saw them socially. On behalf of Hong Kong, I was participating in a WIPO Conference on Industrial Designs.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As the venue was just next to the Clos Luce Mansion, I saw the original drawings of Leonardo da Vinci during lunch time.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Those participants from Yugoslavia had lots to chat among themselves. It was a very boring French dinner for me.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As I promised to give a lift to a Yugoslav, who lived in the same hotel as mine, I couldn't leave early.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I hired a car from Airport De Gaulle and drove to Ambiose and return.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In summer 1987, I drove on the continent while studying at the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, and at the Hague Academy of International Law in Daan Haag, the Netherlands.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Later, my Yugoslav friend posted me a calendar depicting Yugoslav sights.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And then, I learned that conflicts in the region had begun...

INT. STANFORD UNIVERSITY - SPRING (1991)
Conference. The backdrop reads: WIPO Worldwide Symposium on the Intellectual Property Aspects of Artificial Intelligence. Peter is among the audience.
PETER (V.O.): The DG chairs. This is a visionary intellectual exchange.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was then working in Hong Kong's Law Reform Commission Secretariat.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I turned what I had learned into a provision in Hong Kong's Copyright Ordinance 1997.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was anxious to visit Stanford University because a classmate at HKU Law School thought that I'd like it.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): So I seized the opportunity to go, even though I didn't get any response to my application of registration.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Everything was very relaxed then. It was Okay for me to register on the spot.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My classmate came to my wedding feast in 1995. Later, I heard that she left Hong Kong for good.

INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS
.Peter checks the time.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, I've covered just some of the stories that I wanted to tell.

PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): While many people helped make them, I've countless feelings in my memories.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While sharing my stories, I start missing not just the story characters but everybody.
