Act 1
INT. DIINING ROOM - 10:00
PETER, his WIFE, their younger DAUGHTER and the family PET are having breakfast.
PETER (V.O.): My elder son and his girlfriend are on their way to Tokyo.
Checking a WhatsApp photo, Peter sees a smiling couple at the boarding gate.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Good for them! I was in bed on this special Friday.
Checking further the photo, Peter discovers something.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, their plane will land in Haneda and not in Narita.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even if the entry procedure is time-consuming, there's a good chance my son won't miss his business meeting at Roppongi.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today isn't a public holiday in Japan.
Act 2
INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
With laptops on table and smartphones in hands, Peter and his wife are researching and discussing.
WIFE: I want to fix the hotel bookings of our first-night-and-last-night stays in Osaka.
PETER: Your hotel choice is good.
WIFE: Somewhow, I can't complete the reservation process...
PETER: Is it too early? We're making Sept bookings.
WIFE: Let me use your laptop and credit card...
Peter passes his laptop and credit card to his wife to work on them.
WIFE: Same. So frustrating!
But Peter sees his wife continuing working on her laptop.
PETER (V.O.): Our recent visit to Osaka was good, but not good enough for my wife. She wanted to shop more.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): She was so keen that she secured our Sept flights days ago.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Although we're only going in Sept, the anticipation can't be bad.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The longer we wait for something, the more we appreciate it when we get it.
We hear Peter's wife exclaiming: Done!
PETER: Good! How did you overcome the problem?
WIFE: I tried different ways to input the data. Now, we've to decide what hot spring hotels to stay.
Peter shows his wife his findings on phone screen.
PETER: This one looks good.
Peter recalls something.
PETER (Cont'd): Oh, I've actually stayed in this onsen hotel before. It's actually good.
FLASHBACK
EXT/INT ONSEN HOTEL, KADA - SUNSET (2019)
At the seaside, Peter is watching sunset alone.
PETER (V.O.): To learn to enjoy being alone isn't easy.
Later, inside an eating place, Peter is having seafood dishes alone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The food would taste better if my wife is with me.
RETURN TO PRESENT
PETER (Cont'd): But I didn't have a seaview room
WIFE: Okay, let's book a seaview room with a half-board meal plan with this hotel then.
Having done that, we see them surfing booking platforms for other hotels in Osaka.
WIFE: Even the ones we stayed a week ago have been sold out in Sept!
PETER: Let us choose the less popular ones then.
Act 3
INT. DINING ROOM - 20:30
Peter & family are having a seafood dinner.
PETER (V.O.): My son and his girlfriend entered Tokyo smoothly. My wife and I walked our pet. Before dinner, my wife got a new smartphone under insurance.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Good is something that is desirable, beneficial, or of high quality. My preference is good health, and good mind to do good to all.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having faith in the good brings love, peace and hope. Today is a good Friday.
