  3. EXT. STREET - 09:00


  4. Driving slowly near a kindergarten, PETER sees groups of PARENTS peeping from the outside.


  5. PETER (V.O.): It's their daily auto-routines.


  6. Observing.


  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having just sent their kids inside, they love to see how the kids move, play or explore.


  8. Pausing.


  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Their common habit have latent rewards.


  10. Thinking.


  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would what happens to kids at the kindergarten stage last a lifetime?


  12. Act 2


  13. INT. STUDY - 09:30


  14. Peter is glued to his smart phone.


  15. PETER (V.O.): In the morning, I feel energetic.


  16. Pausing.


  17. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My habit is to reply to Quora answer requests.


  18. Pausing.


  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Helping others aside, I might learn something otherwise I wouldn't learn. That'd be my immediate reward.


  20. Peter types on screen.


  21. INT. RESTAURANT - 13:00


  22. Malaysian-Singaporean style. Peter is having a Bak Gut Teh set.


  23. PETER (V.O.): I've got a cue from this chain restaurant.


  24. Pausing.


  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd routinely order Bak Gut Teh, despite the best I had was in a Kuala Lumpur hawker stall.


  26. Peter sips a Lemongrass soft drink.


  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Finding out how it tastes like is my immediate reward.


  28. INT. CLINIC - 14:45


  29. Consultation room. A DOCTOR is seeing Peter.


  30. DOCTOR: Your blood test result indicates that you're healthy - the best ever. Have you swum a lot?


  31. Peter nods.


  32. DOCTOR (Cont'd): Your BMI result is also good.


  33. PETER: But I've gained some weight.


  34. DOCTOR: You look fit. Being a little fat is healthy.

  35. PETER: Why?


  36. DOCTOR: Cancer is the no. 1 killer. Those having reserve can endure better.


  37. Peter nods.


  38. PETER: I've turned age 68. As my life expectancy is about 85, I've thought about doing nothing when I turn 70.


  39. DOCTOR: As you're in the habit of doing a lot, you should press on.


  40. Peter is wondering.

  41. DOCTOR (Cont'd): You may wake up one morning just to find that you've turned 95!


  42. They smile cheerfully.


  43. PETER: Thank you Doctor for everything!


  44. Later at a reception. Peter is checking his phone calendar.


  45. PETER (V.O.): Let me fix my next appointment on another Monday. I like to have something important to do on Mondays.


  46. PETER (To the RECEPTIONIST): A Monday in Nov please.


  47. RECEPTIONIST: You doctor will take leave on two Mondays in Nov. Would you like other weekdays?


  48. PETER: No, on a Monday when he's available.


  49. Act 3


  50. EXT. STREETS - 15: 30


  51. Peter is on board a public light bus.


  52. PETER (V.O.): People differ in their habits. Motivation is what gets them started.


  53. Pausing.


  54. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):Habits aren't that obvious until they've become routines.


  55. Pausing.


  56. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Keystone habits can determine people's future. We're what we do repeatedly. Excellence is a habit.


  57. Recalling.


  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was beaten by my Grandpa once - the only time when I refused to do my kindergarten homework.
