  3. INT. DINING ROOM - DAY


  4. Checking the environment, Peter's WIFE instructs the MAID.


  5. WIFE: Put these stuff inside your room please.


  6. WIFE (Cont'd): Our elder son and his girlfriend are joining us for dinner.


  7. Seeing a moving train toy set at the window pane, PETER is struck.


  8. PETER: What a lovely set! When I was a kid, I got mesmerized by it!

  9. WIFE: Me too! When we bought the piano many years ago, we got it as a gift. It still works!


  10. PETER (V.O.): It has been a long time since we last played host at our urban home.


  11. Pausing.


  12. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would a little party be fun?


  13. Act 2


  14. SEQUENCE OF PETER HOSTING PARTIES AT HIS NT HOME (Over 10 years ago)


  15. A, GUESTS park their cars by the roadside.


  16. B. On G/F, some guests chat in the sitting room or help inside the kitchen.


  17. C. Walking up and down the stairs, some go to the toilets while others play inside rooms on 1/F.


  18. D. On 2/F, some play guitars or drums in the penthouse, while others check the stars from the balcony.


  19. E. In the front garden, some are doing barbecue while others checks the trees in the back yard.


  20. END SEQUENCE


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There're actually lots of work to do before and after any party.


  22. FLASHBACK

  23. INT. PETER'S URBAN HOME - NIGHT (Over 10 years ago)


  24. Peter, his wife and FRIENDS enter. As their friends look shocked, Peter explains.


  25. PETER : That's the reason why we haven't invited you all to our home. It's so small when compared to your mansion in KL.


  26. END FLASHBACK


  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And now my children have grown up. But my family is still small when compared to my sister's.


  28. Pausing.


  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She and my brother-in-law have now got 18 members altogether.


  30. Pausing.

  31. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My family is catching up. Tonight's dinner party is a prelude.


  32. Peter sees his wife preparing food in the kitchen.


  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was in my teens, partying meant dancing or boy-meets-girl parties.


  34. Recalling.


  35. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A classmate told me that he held wild parties and did crazy things.


  36. Pausing.


  37. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Then, for unknown reasons, a neighbour's daughter discontinued her studies; and a relative's daughter ran away from home.


  38. Pausing.


  39. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The few dancing parties I went were decent ones.


  40. Pausing.


  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But if I found no one would like to dance with me, I'd just assist the DJ to play the sound recordings.


  42. Recalling.


  43. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was working as a part-time hotel waiter, I served tea-dance guests and dreamt that I could become a bandmate.


  44. FLASHBACK


  45. INT. PRIVATE CLUB, DEEP BAY - NIGHT (2012)


  46. A large party. Playing the guitar in a band on stage, Peter sings: Are we in love...Nothing's enough...


  47. END FLASHBACK


  48. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Then, I was the star of the show. Nobody danced while I sang.


  49. Pausing.


  50. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How good the good old days were!


  51. Act 3


  52. INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT


  53. Background music, Peter, his wife, SONS and the GIRLFRIEND are having dinner.


  54. PETER (V.O.): It's party time! I haven't written a song on that, but I've one called We're Family.


  55. Using fingers to manipulate a spoon and a fork, Peter serves the family food.


  56. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My family is into something good - a new and welcoming phase.


  57. Clinking glasses.


  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Life shouldn't just be lived, it should be celebrated.


  59. Enjoying desserts.


  60. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Tonight, we've a little big party!
