PETER is researching with his smartphone.
PETER (V.O.): These court cases about fingerprints are quite interesting.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The one I'm dealing with is a relatively small matter but the legal principles are the same.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm going back to chambers to research further. My wife is doing office work at home.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Meanwhile, papers in another case have been delivered to my chambers today.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday evening when my learned friend confirmed there's no further development, we wished each other a nice weekend.
Act 2
INT. CHAMBERS - 14:30
Having read a thick book, Peter puts it back on the bookshelves.
PETER (V.O.): I've satisfied myself that I'm pretty well-prepared.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In fact, I've read the relevant chapters before.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having a case in hand, I'm more focused and I learn fast.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races are taking place today and tomorrow, I'll go and watch it now.
EXT. TSIMSHATSUI EAST - 15:30
Crowded. SPECTATORS gather under a long row of big umbrellas.
PETER (V.O.): The very few unoccupied spots are without umbrellas.
Peter looks up at the dark clouds.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't have an umbrella, but I don't mind getting wet a little.
Taking an unoccupied spot, Peter looks happy.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):How nice! I'd be able to take good video clips.
We hear from a loudspeaker: ...The HKUST team is on the 5th lane...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's great, I can witness how the HKUST team performing.
Light showering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I affiliate with HKUST. I've a desire to see HKUST succeeding in every way.
Showering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's okay...Start the race now!
As it begins to pour, we see spectators opening their umbrellas blocking Peter's vision.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh dear.
As Peter surrenders his spot and runs for cover, we hear from the loudspeaker: The race is on!
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't see any dragon boat from the starting line now.
We hear from the loudspeaker: ...The HKUST team has a fast start and is leading...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Establishing an early lead can build momentum.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I must go to the area near the finishing line.
Under the rain, Peter rushes towards the area near K11.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I must capture the finishing moments.
We hear BYSTANDER#1 talking to BYSTANDER#2: The HKUST team can't maintain its lead. They're burning out.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Leading from start to finish isn't always easy.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like to think that's strategy as the team doesn't need the first position to qualify for the final.
Act 3
EXT. KOWLOON ROADS - 16:30
Sitting in a bus, Peter checks his video clips. We see dragon boat races.
PETER (V.O.): For the past Monday to Friday, I'm grateful for all the small things and big things.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As I've done today what I meant to do on Monday or Tuesday, I don't need to think about anything now.
Pausing,
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just smile and enjoy the nice weekend.
DAYDREAMING SEQUENCE
A. A cosy restaurant. COUPLES#1 and #2 are having dinner with a younger COUPLE#3, chatting happily.
