  3. INT. BEDROOM - 07:45


  4. PETER wakes up.


  5. PETER (V.O.): I dreamt of my late Auntie Kwai (葵姑媽) - my late father's sister.


  6. Pausing.


  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The last time we met was in 1992. She died two years later.


  8. Checking his smartphone notifications, Peter's eyes twinkle.


  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): About my answer on "a strange event that has got swept under the rug like it didn't even happen", a Quoran suggests that I've left the mouse in my parallel universe.


  10. Pausing.


  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, a possible explanation. Two car keys and a battery cover have also disappeared.


  12. Peter types his reply.


  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do I have a parallel reality?

  15. INT. STUDY - 10:00


  16. Peter is having screen time.


  17. PETER (V.O.): The stock market has entered into the recovering phase of the price cycle.


  18. Having checked real-time quotes, Peter types his orders.


  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My orders can be executed in seconds.


  20. Peter checks the changing numerals on his investment list.


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The market value of my portfolio changes in the twinkle of an eye.


  22. Pausing.


  23. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The money I can charge by the minute at work can't be compared with my investment gain/loss.


  24. Pausing.


  25. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I work for gain. If I don't work, I get negative gain.


  26. Pausing.


  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The companies I've invested in work for stakeholders including me, for profit or loss.


  28. Pausing.


  29. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Parallel realities are at work.


  30. EXT. PARK - 14:15


  31. A shaded area under trees with blossoms. Peter is practising Viennese Waltz steps.


  32. PETER (V.O.): Dancing enables me to lose myself and find myself at the same time.


  33. INT. STUDY - 18:00


  34. Peter is watching TV - the Science channel.


  35. PETER (V.O.): Science as a subject was hard for me in my secondary school days.


  36. Recalling.


  37. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My teacher in Physics and Chemistry was a Form 5 graduate of the school.


  38. Watching.


  39. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since formal retirement, I've learned a lot from documentaries on quantum mechanics, parallel dimensions and parallel realities.


  40. Pausing.

  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd also reflect on Platonism - the idea that the heavenly reality is perfect while the earthly one is just its imperfect shadow.

  43. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Do I have a co-existing variant of my existence?

  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If so, do I go to my alternate world from time to time?

  47. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If so, do I travel to the past/alternate history as well?

  49. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Or even to the future/alternate future too?


  50. Peter's eyes twinkle.

  53. Peter is thinking in bed.


  54. PETER (V.O.): In the parallel dimension, the possibilities are infinite.


  55. Pausing.


  56. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Time is unreal. The illusory past, present and future are in one dimension.


  57. Pondering.


  58. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): And if an electron can be in two places at the same time, why can I?


  59. Pausing.


  60. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Auntie Kwai (葵姑媽) and I met up in my dream - a parallel dimension.
