FADE IN
Act 1
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - 15:15
Front yard. Sitting in a bench, PETER feels something and sees a pigeon at a corner.
PETER (V.O.): A pigeon? What is it doing at the rainwater drain?
Observing the pigeon.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, there's something wrong with its right wing.
We see the pigeon's eyes sparkling with hope.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What has happened to you? Bitten by a dog or hit by a car?
Leaving the corner, the pigeon walks across the grass.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It looks okay, except that it can't fly.
Peter looks up at the cloudy sky.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It'll rain soon.
Then, the pigeon disappears from Peter's sight.
Act 2
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - CONTINUOUS
Covered driveway. Peter walks past two stationary cars searching for the pigeon.
PETER (V.O.): If the pigeon was hit by a car, I don't think it'd like to use cars as shelters.
Back yard. We don't see the pigeon either.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't think it can fly...
Walking closer to a vacant sheltered corner meant for LPG tanks, Peter sees the pigeon in a corner.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, you're resting here.
We feel the pigeon finding solace in the covered and largely enclosed space.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): You seem to know my place pretty well. When did you check in?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I came back last week, I didn't see you.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just then, you've gone to the rainwater drain to sip water to quench your thirst.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But there's no food for you in my yards!
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I must go to the mall and buy you some. No one should stay hungry in my home.
INT. MALL - LATER
Fast food restaurant. Peter appears.
PETER (V.O.): I can't find any pigeon food in other stalls. Feeding pigeons isn't encouraged either.
Peter checks the menu and does the order.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But an injured pigeon can't provide for itself.
Waiting anxiously.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My pigeon guest would have to settle for the sweet corns, red beans and bread from here.
Getting his takeaways, Peter rushes home happily.
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - LATER
Backyard. Having eye contact with his feather friend again, Peter places a box of food and a cup of water near the injured pigeon.
PETER (V.O.): What I've brought you should be good for you for a few days.
We see the pigeon pecking at the food a few times.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Judging from its small size, small head and dull colour, I guess it's female.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Has she got a partner? If so, would he search and call for her?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I neither see any pigeon flying around nor hear any sound attracting attention. Is she just a single girl?
Act 3
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 19:15
Kitchen. Having input the prompt: "An injured black pigeon hiding in a shelter corner" in an AI art generator in his smartphone, Peter sees a cubist image appearing.
PETER (V.O.): I hope my feather friend would look like that when it recovers.
Peter watches the pigeon from the window.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): You're smart to have found this temporary sanctuary.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll continue to support you till you can fly again.
Smiling, Peter knows he has made a difference in the life of a little creature.
