A Vibrant Saturday

  2. Act 1


  3. INT. LIVING ROOM - 08:45


  4. Sitting in a sofa, PETER ends his language practice on the Duolingo app in his mobile.


  5. PETER (V.O): Maintaining my Duolingo streaks has become my morning routine.


  6. Peter then takes the piano seat to play the piano.


  7. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I wouldn't let my language learning intervene too much with my piano playing.


  8. Something has dawned on Peter.


  9. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd):As a singer-song writer, I use the guitar to help me compose songs.


  10. Pausing.

  11. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): As I'm not satisfied with the chorus of a song I'm writing, why don't I try the piano as an alternative choice?


  12. Peter then plays some melodic verses.


  13. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But the main agenda this Saturday is to take the family pet to have a photo session at SPCA.


  14. Act 2

  15. MONTAGE OF THE FAMILY PET'S PHOTO SESSION AT SPCA


  16. A. Reception, 13.50. Peter and his WIFE walk in, the family pet, KAJI, trotting beside them.


  17. B. Studio, 14:10. A PHOTOGRAPER guides all into positions and snaps several photos.


  18. C. Counter 14:20. Checking images, Peter's wife selects one. Later, she makes a donation.

  20. EXT. STREETS, WANCHAI - 14:30


  21. Walking towards a car park, Kaji takes the lead.


  22. PETER: So our baby's image will appear in SPCA's 2025 Calendar.


  23. WIFE: Yes, this isn't the first time...Now, shall we go to other pet-friendly places like MegaBox or AIRSIDE?


  24. PETER: But we went there recently.


  25. WIFE: We haven't gone to the Peak for a long time...


  26. PETER: Let's go up then, I hope parking isn't a problem.


  27. EXT/INT. CAR PARK, PEAK GALLERIA - 14:45


  28. As their car approaching, Peter's wife spots the number of real-time parking vacancies on a signboard.

  29. WIFE: Fine, over 200 vacancies.


  30. PETER: What a surprise on a Saturday afternoon.


  31. Having parked their car with ease, Peter's wife spots another notice on the wall.


  32. WIFE: If we buy something in the Galleria, we can get up to five hours free parking privileges.


  33. PETER: Can we spend five hours here on a hot summer day?


  34. WIFE: I must buy an iced drink to cool me down!


  35. INT. PEAK GALLERIA - 15:30

  36. Airconditioned modern mall. Iced drinks in hands, Peter and his wife explore the mall with Kaji.


  37. PETER: Our pet is particularly energetic.


  38. They stop before a store selling creative gadgets.


  39. PETER (Cont'd): Oh, its DOMA, I like this brand a lot.


  40. Soon, they're attracted by some colourful pocket slim fans.


  41. WIFE: I need one for our vacation in France next month.


  42. PETER: They look good. I'll have one too.


  43. Having paid, Peter then discovers a pet's barber nearby.


  44. WIFE: No, just props for pet photography!


  45. Kaji has to take center stage, reluctantly.


  46. EXT. LUGARD ROAD - 17:30


  47. As they take the scenic route, Peter's wife is surprised to see a WhatsApp message.


  48. WIFE: Our son is now touring Cairns with his girlfriend! He didn't tell me beforehand!


  49. PETER: Don't forget that he's now a financially-independent doctor!


  50. WIFE: Yes, we should appreciate Hong Kong more...


  51. Act 3


  52. INT. LIVING ROOM - 21:30.


  53. Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "A Vibrant Saturday..." to a draft.


  54. PETER (V.O): This Saturday, I've a good sense of activity, energy and liveliness.


  55. Thinking.


  56. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I enjoy having quality time with my loved ones anytime.


  57. Reflecting.


  58. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Having worked for decades, my wife and I are embracing an active, fulfilling and well-rounded lifestyle.
