Walking down Battery Path, Peter is attracted to signs on his left.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, the Department of Justice is here.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In the early 1980s, here used to be the Attorney General's Chambers.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Training Division was on 1/F. The head was in the rank of Assistant Principal Crown Counsel.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): During HKU's summer holidays from 1982-1985, I reported duty there.
Peter captures images of the scene.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, 40 years have lapsed.
Act 2
INT. HKU - 10:30
Law library. Having returned a thick book via a self-check system, Peter leaves.
PETER (V.O.): I've found myself out of place here.
Strolling in the campus, Peter sees signs depicting: "HKU 111 Years"
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a privilege that I'm an alumni.
Peter captures images of the sign.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I tried to get admitted in 1973 and 1974 to read English Literature and didn't make it.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was admitted to read Law in 1981 with 4-year full scholarship, it was really a dream come true.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Not all Government legal scholars were admitted. And not all admitted graduated.
Entering the Main Library, Peter looks surprised.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's so spacious and modern now!
Checking directions, Peter goes to the Arts Section on 2/F, Old Wing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): See if I can find anything interesting.
Peter sees an old MAN having screen time in a quiet corner.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He may belong to my generation.
Grabbing books on "Steven Spielberg" and "Zhang Yi-Mou" from stacks, Peter flips through the pages in another corner.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Steven Spielberg was born in 1946, and Zhang Yi-Mou in 1950.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I watched "Jaws" in 1975 and "Red Sorghum" in 1987.
INT. CAUSWAY BAY - 12:15
Entrance, Times Square. Peter walks past a moving and growling dinosaur.
PETER (V.O.): The species had a very bad day 65 million years ago.
Peter captures a few images.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Dinosaurs are extinct, but alive and well in people's creative imagination.
INT. CENTRAL - 14:15
Statues Square. Peter stares at a stone monument: "The Glorious Dead 1914-1918, 1939-1945."
PETER (V.O.): Even the longest days ended.
HKUST Business School. Peter exchanges greetings with AH PO, CHOLE and SHIRLEY.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Repetitions enable me to remember their names. They're millennials.
Foyer. Looking out the glass panel, Peter enjoys the Victoria Harbour view.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've been volunteering my service for HKUST since 2016. I'll retire in 2025.
Other COLLEAGUES join and chat with Peter.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't help getting older. If not, I'm dead.
Later, Peter attends a meeting in a conference room.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The ladies and gentlemen here are the cream of the crop especially in science and technology.
Having listened to presentations attentively, Peter makes interventions.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As I can't do great things now, I'll just do small things in my great way.
Act 3
INT. CENTRAL - 17:30
Checking an answer request on his phone screen, Peter sees: Which era best describes your personality?
PETER (V.O.): Born between 1946 and 1964, I belong to the Baby Boomer Generation.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Baby boomers are goal-centric, self-assured, resourceful and value relationships.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Such a personality is all about me. I believe I'm a human capital.
Tapping the Google Photos App, Peter checks images, including the one depicting the Department of Justice.
