PETER (V.O.): Oh, the strong wind signal is still no. 3. My wife has to go to work. She has to pack her bags later.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We've already checked in yesterday. But I haven't packed my bags yet. I still have meetings to attend later today and tomorrow.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We're going to UK with our younger daughter to witness her graduation ceremony.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We also help her to bring home her left-behind belongings in UK.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As usual, we've hired a car, motoring for nine days.
Act 2
EXT. ESTATE STREET - 12:30
Peter walks towards the mall.
PETER (V.O.): It's quite cool today.
FLASHBACK
EXT. TAI O - DAY (LAST FRIDAY)
Street. A sweating Peter is mesmerized by a restaurant sign: Fully air-conditioned.
PETER (V.O.): See if could get a table here.
Having enquired with a STAFF, Peter is seated in the only vacant table.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Earlier, there was a long queue. I believe the outlying islands are crowded on Saturdays and Sundays.
Later, at the bus terminal. Peter sees a long QUEUE for Route#11 to Tung Chung and just one PERSON for Route#1 to Mui Wo.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, I took Route#11A from Upper Cheung Sa Beach to Tung Chung. Taking the MTR, I arrived home half an hour earlier than from Mui Wo.
Peter waits for Route#1 bus.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like taking ferries.
END FLASHBACK
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But on typhoon days, taking ferries may not be enjoyable, even if services are still available.
INT. STUDY - 14:00
Attending a Zoom meeting, Peter gets a call.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, my wife has returned home. The strong wind signal#8 has been up for some time.
Peter hangs up.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Good, her holiday mood should have begun, as she has taken leave tomorrow.
INT. STUDIO - 17:30
Watching an online piano tutorial on screen, Peter is practising his fingering on a Clavinova.
PETER (V.O.): For the past few weeks, I've been playing it everyday.
Watching.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I want to play the easy-listening piano music reasonably well.
Playing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm doing better each day. But I'm flying out tomorrow evening.
Watching.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's never occurred to me that I'd miss the Clavinova.
Playing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To fill the gap, should I bring a roll-up piano keyboard while travelling?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I used to bring a traveller guitar while travelling. But then I realized that I wouldn't miss the opportunity to expand my mind.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I got used to not travelling?
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 21:30
Peter takes a look of the bags near him.
PETER (V.O.): All my bags are packed. I'm ready to go.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I haven't been to everywhere. UK isn't unfamiliar to me. Our next travel destination is South Korea. We've already booked our flights.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me continue to live my travelling life by GPS, not a guitar or a piano.
THE END
