Entering via the East gate, PETER walks up a path.
PETER (V.O.): I used to come here a lot in the early 1970s and early 1990s.
Peter looks around.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The sands of time sink fast.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where have all the landscapes gone?
Observing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I didn't leave any trace of my passages.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But memories come flooding back.
Act 2
INT. SWIMMING POOL, KOWLOON PARK - 10:30
Swimming, Peter is among the ELDERLY.
PETER (V.O.): I thought about hiking in Cheung Chau or Lantau Island this morning.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Then, I had the urge to fix a defective pedal switch in a music store in Tsimshatsui.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having gone back to my chambers briefly, I'm exercising here.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, I had hours of mild headaches. Not sure if it was due to stress or dehydration.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But it reminds me of relaxion, and health is wealth.
EXT. AVIARY, KOWLOON PARK - 12:45
PETER (V.O.): I don't know the aviary here.
Holding his smart phone, Peter has its camera aiming at a pair of grey parrots with red tails.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): These African parrots are obsessed with kissing. Here they come again.
Peter captures the moments.
EXT/INT. HONG KONG HERITAGE DISCOVERY CENTRE, KOWLOON PARK - 13:00
Peter sees a sign: Lights of Jinsha - The Ancient Shu Civilisation 30/12/2022 - 29/3/2023.
PETER (V.O.): Should I see it?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If I don't see it now and want to see it later, I've to fly to Chengdu.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.): I don't mind going to Chengdu. I've a tri-lingual song called "Go Chengdu"...
Stepping inside the Centre, Peter begins the discovery tour.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):Our heritage makes us unique.
Inside the exhibition hall, Peter examines pieces of bronze and jade exhibits unearthed from archeological sites in Sichuan Province.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, these sacrificial artifacts reveal the civilisation of ancient Shu of 4000 years ago.
At a corner, Peter watches a video clip being shown.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I tend to believe collecting experience is better than collecting things, as experience impact on our personality and identity.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But experience can't be unearthed. Without the unearthed things, there can be no inference what ancient civilisation was like.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would our physical world be replaced by the virtual world?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would an archeological dig be like mining a metaverse in the multiverses in future?
Act 3
EXT. KOWLOON PARK - 14:15
Leaving the Centre, Peter walks down a path.
PETER (V.O.): Life humbles me as I grow old. I unearth my stories.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is the discovery of a person's potential like an archeological dig?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If so, I've to dig mine more fully.
Peter exits via the South gate.
