PETER chats with his WIFE.
PETER: Tomorrow morning, I'll take your car lift to go back to chambers..
EXT. PARKING BAY - 09:00
Standing next to a New Beetle, Peter sees his wife approaching.
PETER: I'm not going with you. A chamber mate has just been tested Covid-19 positive.
Having watched his wife driving away, Peter checks a Quora notification.
PETER (V.O.): What are the advantages and disadvantages of not planning? That's the question.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd: I'm suffering from a setback, even though I've planned.
Act 2
INT. STUDY - 10:00
Peter is having screen time.
PETER (V.O.): My default plan B is to stay home to do whatever I like.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was with Government, I picked up the Plan-Do-Check-Act design and management method.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I plan by identifying the problems. I do by testing the potential solutions.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Then I check by studying the results. And then I take corrective action by implementing the best solution.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle enables continued refinement of processes.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know many things don't go according to plan.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If one doesn't plan, one is planning not to be successful.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was travelling solo in familiar places, I might not have any detailed plans.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having no plans to plan can be quite enjoyable.
Peter types his answer on Quora.
EXT. MALL - 13:15
G/F restaurant. Stopping, Peter observes the activities inside.
PETER (V.O.): It's crowded. I've planned to have Chinese noodles and that's why I'm here. But I'd better go elsewhere.
2/F restaurant. Having checked the activities inside, Peter enters and sits in a table with few CUSTOMERS near him.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is the corrective action that I take. Here's more hygienic from the pandemic perspective.
Reading the menu, Peter sees spaghetti dishes.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I've never had spaghetti with an hot-spring egg. I'll have that.
Later, having finished his meal, Peter takes a look of Yahoo!Finance on his smart phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, the stock market today has risen about 2%. Whether I'm losing 2% less or more is beyond my control.
INT. STUDY - 17:00

PETER (V.O.): I got a cue from the Quora Digest. Investigating further, I've mined the full story.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a real version of the movie "Born Free". The backstory of buying a lion cub at Harrods is already captivating.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When the couple bought the lion cub as a pet, I don't think they had any plan.
Peter copies the link.
Act 3
INT. DINING ROOM - 21:00
As Peter appears, his wife can't wait to show him a Chanel bag.
PETER: What a surprise! Have you already sold some stocks today?
WIFE: Yes! I've sold high and rewarded my forethought!
PETER (V.O.): The best plan is to set the direction and arm us with the tools to deal with the obstacles along the way.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In life, we must expect the unexpected - whether a solemn hardship or an amazing opportunity.
Peter's wife gets his attention.
WIFE: Tomorrow morning, please wake me up at 7:30am as I've an early appointment.
