Sitting in a sofa, PETER checks his phone calendar.
PETER (V.O): Today is March 6...A special day.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've to offer free legal advice to clients in the evening.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): On March 6, 2017, the weight of bureaucracy lift off my shoulders.
Peter reads his diary of March 6, 2017 on mobile.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Although I ceased active civil service in May 2014, I was on pre-retirement leave until 5 March 2015.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And then, as a senior civil servant, I had to "sanitize" myself for two years.
Act 2
EXT. ROADS - 11:45
Peter drives an old blue Mercedes down the road, a proud expression on his face.
PETER (V.O.): I bought it in 2002 for a couple of reasons.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It's a symbol of success. I wanted to show my Dad that I did it.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My visiting lawyer friends from Malaysia thought that Mercedes was relatively inexpensive in Hong Kong. They could only drive Volvos.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When I saw the widow of my late friend burning a paper Mercedes to him in his funeral, I was determined to have a real one.
EXT. CAR REPAIR SHOP - 12:00
Arriving, Peter sees RICKY, a mechanic, driving out a car.
PETER (V.O): He must be having a test run.
FAT BOY, another mechanic, greets Peter.
FAT BOY: Mr Cheung, how can I help you?
PETER: There's something wrong with the driver's door.
FAT BOY: Leave it here and let's check.
PETER: Can I collect my red coupe?
FAT BOY: Not yet. The spare part hasn't arrived yet.
Having glanced his red coupe inside the shop, Peter walks away.
EXT. STREETS - 12:30
Stopping by a small store, Peter buys a few papayas.
PETER (V.O): I feel good that I can support micro businesses.
INT. HIGH COURT LAW LIBRARY - 16:30
Quiet. Sitting in a big desk, Peter is surrounded by volumes of thick law books.
PETER (V.O): As a professional, I need to satisfy myself that I'm very well prepared. I aim to deliver 200% satisfaction to my clients.
We see Peter continuing with his focused research with dedication.
EXT. CENTRAL & WESTERN DISTRICT OFFICE - 21:30
Night sky. Peter exits, a sense of fulfillment on his face.
PETER (V.O) : Maintaining my Barrister status, I can continue to offer free legal advice to people in need.
INT. MTR CABIN - 21:45
We see Peter contributing a 5-star review on Google Maps about Central & Western District Office.
PETER (V.O): I gave the best rating as clients there got 5-star service from me!
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And I've been using Google Maps to connect with my followers particularly my future son-in-law in South Korea.
INT. DINING ROOM - 22:00
Entering, Peter looks pleased to find no food put on the table.
PETER (V.O): To have dinner at 10pm or later isn't unusual to my family.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 23:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Driven by Determination" to a text.
PETER (V.O): I'm propelled forward by strong internal drive and passion.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm devoted to my cause and my dedication is the driving force behind my actions.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Driven by determination, I've the value to create, the courage to try and the commitment to do.
