  4. Sitting in a sofa, PETER checks his phone calendar.


  5. PETER (V.O): Today is March 6...A special day.


  6. Pausing.


  7. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've to offer free legal advice to clients in the evening.


  8. Recalling.


  9. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): On March 6, 2017, the weight of bureaucracy lift off my shoulders.


  10. Peter reads his diary of March 6, 2017 on mobile.

  11. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Although I ceased active civil service in May 2014, I was on pre-retirement leave until 5 March 2015.


  12. Recalling.


  13. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And then, as a senior civil servant, I had to "sanitize" myself for two years.

  15. EXT. ROADS - 11:45


  16. Peter drives an old blue Mercedes down the road, a proud expression on his face.


  17. PETER (V.O.): I bought it in 2002 for a couple of reasons.


  18. Recalling.


  19. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It's a symbol of success. I wanted to show my Dad that I did it.

  21. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My visiting lawyer friends from Malaysia thought that Mercedes was relatively inexpensive in Hong Kong. They could only drive Volvos.

  23. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When I saw the widow of my late friend burning a paper Mercedes to him in his funeral, I was determined to have a real one.


  24. EXT. CAR REPAIR SHOP - 12:00


  25. Arriving, Peter sees RICKY, a mechanic, driving out a car.


  26. PETER (V.O): He must be having a test run.


  27. FAT BOY, another mechanic, greets Peter.


  28. FAT BOY: Mr Cheung, how can I help you?


  29. PETER: There's something wrong with the driver's door.


  30. FAT BOY: Leave it here and let's check.


  31. PETER: Can I collect my red coupe?


  32. FAT BOY: Not yet. The spare part hasn't arrived yet.


  33. Having glanced his red coupe inside the shop, Peter walks away.


  34. EXT. STREETS - 12:30


  35. Stopping by a small store, Peter buys a few papayas.


  36. PETER (V.O): I feel good that I can support micro businesses.


  37. INT. HIGH COURT LAW LIBRARY - 16:30


  38. Quiet. Sitting in a big desk, Peter is surrounded by volumes of thick law books.


  39. PETER (V.O): As a professional, I need to satisfy myself that I'm very well prepared. I aim to deliver 200% satisfaction to my clients.


  40. We see Peter continuing with his focused research with dedication.


  41. EXT. CENTRAL & WESTERN DISTRICT OFFICE - 21:30


  42. Night sky. Peter exits, a sense of fulfillment on his face.

  43. PETER (V.O) : Maintaining my Barrister status, I can continue to offer free legal advice to people in need.


  44. INT. MTR CABIN - 21:45


  45. We see Peter contributing a 5-star review on Google Maps about Central & Western District Office.


  46. PETER (V.O): I gave the best rating as clients there got 5-star service from me!


  47. Pausing.


  48. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And I've been using Google Maps to connect with my followers particularly my future son-in-law in South Korea.


  49. INT. DINING ROOM - 22:00


  50. Entering, Peter looks pleased to find no food put on the table.


  51. PETER (V.O): To have dinner at 10pm or later isn't unusual to my family.

  53. INT. STUDY - 23:00


  54. Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Driven by Determination" to a text.


  55. PETER (V.O): I'm propelled forward by strong internal drive and passion.


  56. Pausing.


  57. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm devoted to my cause and my dedication is the driving force behind my actions.


  58. Reflecting.


  59. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Driven by determination, I've the value to create, the courage to try and the commitment to do.
