FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. STUDY - 12:00
PETER puts a book aside.
PETER (V.O): I can't maintain my focus.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On Monday this week, I was in good mood. I bought two Sony Bluetooth speakers online and collected a blue one.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll collect an orange one later today, but I'm already anxious now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If stocks are available, should I buy another orange one to have a pair?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If matching colour is my emotive preference, there's no reason why I shouldn't buy an additional yellow one too.
Act 2
INT. COMPUTER MALL, MONGKOK - 16:30
Peter appears.
PETER (V.O.): It's great that I've finished reading the book.
Peter checks shop names.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I bought the book at Harvard while I was following a Senior Executive Program there, back in 2003.
Peter stops at a shop front.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would I really get an orange one? I paid more as I couldn't find orange ones in other retailers.
Getting an orange one from STAFF#1, Peter looks happy.
PETER: I'd like to buy one more, if you've stock.
STAFF: Sure! Same price.
Peter pays happily.
EXT. NELSON STREET - 16:45
Standing in a corner, Peter is thinking.
PETER (V.O.): I've already delayed my decision to buy an additional yellow one.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't suppress my urge anymore. Let me make a swift decision to find a retailer.
Having surfed the web, Peter makes a call.
PETER (To phone):...Do you have a yellow one?
INT. COMPUTER MALL, WANCHAI - 17:30
Shop. Peter's waiting as STAFF#2 is working on a computer.
STAFF: Oh, you've bought two speakers not too long ago.
PETER: Yes.
Getting his yellow Bluetooth speaker, Peter looks happy.
PETER (V.O.): Now, I've three pairs. But I've yet to figure out how I'd use them.
INT. STUDIO - 17:00
Checking the serial no. of a Bluetooth speaker and then an invoice number, Peter types on screen. Then he sees small prints in red.
PETER (V.O.): Too many warranty registrations of the same product?
Wondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd have thought that Sony should welcome an emotive loyal customer like me!
Calling Sony's customer service, Peter speaks and listens.
PETER (To phone):... I can only register three numbers of a product in one account?
Peter looks frustrated.
PETER (To phone): Just today, I've already bought three numbers of the same product.
Peter sounds cross.
PETER (To phone): I need to open another account with another email address and another telephone number?
Finishing the phone conversation, Peter gets another smartphone to type on it.
PETER (V.O.): I've got other email addresses and phone numbers. To have more of anything causes no harm.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 22:00
Peter is studying some texts on screen.
PETER (V.O.): Emotion and decision making go hand in hand.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Emotions impact on the depth and breadth of my thoughts, and therefore on my judgment and choices too.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To reduce emotions' intensity and input to my decision making consciously isn't easy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Anyhow, I get satisfaction to behave like that, once in a while.
Peter takes a closer look of his three pairs of speakers.
