Setting up his iPhone, PETER joins a Zoom meeting.
PETER (V.O.): Today is 31 March, I mustn't forget to redeem my expiring Sony loyalty points.
Peter begins to engage.
INT. RESTAURANT - 12:00
Cashier. Making an order, Peter presents a discount coupon.
PETER (V.O.): I bought a booklet months ago.
Peter checks other coupons in his pocket.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're expiring today. I've been pretty supportive. I'd even skip my usual lakeside lunch today.
Peter waits for his takeaway.
Act 2
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - 14:00
Car park. Inside his Smart car, Peter sees the dashboard warning lights not going off.
PETER (V.O): There's something very wrong.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd better have my car towed to my repairer.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me advise my repairer first.
Having sent a What'sApp message, Peter waits.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No reply. Is there anything wrong?
Peter checks a profile picture and sees just words.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, they're all about challenges and struggles.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It appears that his business isn't as good as before.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A staff who served me for many years is no longer working there.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Driving past his shop, I've seen fewer cars under repair. It closes early too.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, today is the fiscal year end. Is it a convenient day to throw the towel?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If he's closing business today, he can't take my order...
Getting out of the car, Peter goes to the front garden and checks his smartphone again.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, he has already responded. It's just a signal reception problem.
EXT. LAKE AREA - 14:30
Having parked his silver coupe, Peter takes a lakeside walk.
PETER (V.O.): If I don't need some cash to pay for the towing, I needn't come here. I've already had lunch.
Seeing the lake, Peter captures a photo.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But how can I miss seeing the lake's calm surface and having peace of my mind.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For Hong Kong's stock market, March 2022 has been a turbulent month.
EXT. ESTATE ROAD - 15:30
Peter sees his Smart car being towed away.
PETER (V.O): That's my small way to help boost Hong Kong's economy.
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 16:45
Veranda. Having screen time, Peter remembers something.
PETER (V.O): Oh, I've got to redeem my Sony loyalty points.
Having studied the few redemption products, Peter taps his order.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): I've ordered something that I may not need.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 22:00
Peter is watching TV fiscal news.
PETER (V.O): At the fiscal year end, many companies report their earnings.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Profiting or losing, I haven't sold any shares that I owe. I've been keeping calm.
Pausing
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's my fiscal experiment to see if I can make a delightful ending.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm loyal to what matters. Tomorrow, I've another important meeting.
