Glued to his smartphone, PETER is contributing to Google Maps.
PETER (V.O.): At the Hotel's Xiang Gong restaurant, a waiter was curious as to why I took lots of photos of the menu and food.
Inserting photos to a draft on screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I explained to him that I wrote reviews on Google Maps; and I showed him my contributions.
Editing the draft.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He thought it was great that my contributions had about 790,000 views. I remarked that it was actually 79 million.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When he offered a nice dessert on the house, I was freshened up!
Inserting more photos, Peter writes two more reviews about a "Coffee Garden" and then about the Hotel.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. ROOM, SHANGRI-LA HOTEL - 14:30 (Yesterday)
Tired, Peter lies in bed.
PETER (V.O.): Now, I've checked in. Let me have a nap first.
Closing his eyes.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Days earlier, I worried that my wife might infect me with Covid. And if so, I'd have to postpone my August trip.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I felt that's not a problem, my next worry was how to pay other than using cash or credit cards in mainland China.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since re-opening of mainland China this year, I've been to mainland China three times - all were well-organized by others.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've just learned to use the right App for making health declarations for entry and exit of mainland China.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To sustain my monthly travelling hobby, I considered going to Tokyo, but I couldn't find a slot not clashing with my HKUST engagements.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For the sake of my August travel, I chose Shenzhen where I could walk to the Shangri-la hotel from Lohu.
Peter dozes off.
INT. XIANG GONG RESTARANT - 19:00

PETER (V.O.): Having swum in the Hotel's outdoor pool, I feel hungry.
Later, eye-appeal seafood dishes are put on Peter's table.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can freshen up with a nice meal and pay by credit card.
INT. ROOM, SHANGRI-LA HOTEL - 21:45
Peter is watching a movie on TV. We see on screen cards from "1-500" appearing at intervals.
PETER (V.O.): In this movie "500 Days of Summer", it's refreshing way to tell the forward or backward sequences.
Watching.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): "Summer" embodies the protagonist's hopes and it's also the name of the antagonist. In short, perception isn't fact.
After seeing a "500" card on screen, we see"1" and then a new face introducing herself as "Autumn".
INT. POOL FACILITIES - 11:15 (Today)
Bathroom. We hear the sound of running water echoes.
PETER (V.O.): I swim regularly and wash myself a lot.
Jacuzzi. Watching the strong stream of water from jets, Peter is reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do I need a mental spring to declutter my mind?
Changing room. Sitting before a mirror, Peter stares at his image and then takes a photo of it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is it wrong for me to think that I still look right?
Peter uses the photo as the new profile picture of an App.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a reflection of me - I look ahead by looking back.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. STUDIO - 23:00
Having input the prompt: "A freshened up white-haired man inside a changing room" in an AI art generator, Peter sees a cubist image appearing.
PETER (V.O.): He seems to have a renewed sense of joy. Yes, I embrace technology, keep myself fit, travel to explore...
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe I've discovered the power of freshening up. It's a game-changer, creating opportunities to be better.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As a white-haired man, I still have to freshen up my life more so as to appreciate the beauty of it!
