Working before a laptop by the bedside, PETER glances at the TV. We see live broadcast of Paris Olympics 2024.
MONTAGE
A. High-speed rail. 3 Aug, 2024. Peter, his WIFE and RELATIVES occupy a row of seats.
B. Hotel, 3 Aug, 2024. Peter and his relatives checked in two rooms with a connecting door.
C. Roads, 4 Aug, 2024. After long journeys and traffic jams, they and a PARTY are visiting the crowded Chaozhou city.
D. Zhongshan pavilion, 5 Aug, 2024. Peter and his wife are waiting, among the crowd.
E. Nan'ao Qing'ao Bay, 6 Aug, 2024 . Peter swims a little in a very crowded swimming area.
F. High-speed rail station, West Kowloon, 7 Aug 2024. Carrying many bags, Peter and his wife grab a taxi.

FLASHBACK
EXT. ROADS TO NT - 10: 30 (Earlier)
In a BMW, Peter's SON is driving Peter.
PETER: Our NT home has become our store house for over 10 years.
SON: I can understand the sentimental values of some old items.
PETER: Through association, they trigger memories. And there're many things only I'd know.
SON: I think you should write a proper memoir, documenting the fascinating stories.
PETER: That's a good idea. Putting it all down would help me make sense of it all.
INT/EXT. PETER's NT HOME - 11:15
As Peter's son puts some items in a sitting room corner, Peter jumps start the SMART car in the driveway.
PETER (V.O.): I haven't come back for over a month. It's natural that the car can't start.
We hear sounds of engine running.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel good, as I manage to energize it.
INT. CONSULTATION ROOM, HOSPITAL - 15:00
Peter is consulting his DOCTOR.
PETER: Weeks ago, I felt acute knee pain while going down a church's spiral staircase.
We hear the doctor explaining to Peter his physical conditions.
PETER (Cont'd): I've become risk averse.
We hear the doctor remarking.
PETER (V.O.) I get his cue to live a little.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's better to take risks and enjoy the experience than just live ordinarily.
EXT. SILVERSTRAND - 17:45
Peter is swimming in the calm waters, a contented smile on his face.
PETER (V.O): Coming back to Silverstrand, I can't help but compare it to the must-visit Nan'ao Qing'ao Bay in Shantou.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It took no less than 90 minutes to drive there. Here, it only takes 10 minutes.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There, it was crowded and the water wasn't clear. Here, I've space and the water is clear.
Later, Peter is bathing in a booth.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There, the bathing fee is Rmb 20. Here, it's free.

EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - 19:00
Peter and his wife are walking KAJI, their family pet.
WIFE: The downside of your trips is that we can't walk her as much as we like.
Kaji then has an argument with an unfamiliar Shiba Inu.
PETER: Perhaps, this's her way to air her grievances.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "From Shantou to Solace" to a draft.
PETER (V.O): Life is starting to return to normal after our trip to Santou.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Meanwhile, I'm embracing new perspectives and opportunities.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My Shantou experience has led me to greater inner peace and harmony.
