In smart casual wear, PETER puts a lap-top and other things into a bag.
PETER (V.O.): Just to ensure I won't have any problem in opening the links of the meeting materials.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): My wife and I have returned to Hong Kong from Seoul in the small hours of this morning.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): To engage in two substantive meetings right away might be heavy-going for me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): My wife has a farewell lunch to attend today - this time a Consulate plays host.
Exiting.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Time to dash.
Act 2
INT. HKUST BUSINESS SCHOOL, HK CLUB BUILDING - 9:58
LADIES and GENTLEMEN in a conference room. Taking his seat, Peter talks to a GENTLEMAN sitting next to him.
PETER: You're retiring...
GENTLEMAN: Four more months to go.
PETER: Enjoy them, as you'd miss your work. I can tell from my experience.
GENTLEMAN: Yes, I've worked for over 30 years...How long have you been retired?
PETER.: Nearly 10 years now. For the initial two to three years, it was hard for me to adapt to the change.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): But if I slowed down my operations when I was about to retire, it'd be unprofessional.
As the Gentleman nods, the meeting begins.
INT. TIM HO WAN, IFC - 13:00
Sitting in table#88, Peter is having tea by himself.
PETER (V.O): While in Seoul, my wife and I learned from our elder daughter that this brand has a branch there.
Peter samples fried prawns on toast.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): We had lots of Korean cuisines like barbecue steak, pork and chicken.
We see two WOMEN sitting near Peter and hear them speaking Japanese.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My daughters are Japanese-speaking. I visited Okinawa and saw Sakura blossoms on Jan 31, 2024.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): My wife and I have got round-trip air tickets to Japan in April. The one for our younger daughter is one-way, as she'll further her studies there.
INT. HKUST BUSINESS SCHOOL, HK CLUB BUILDING - 14:05
Inside a room alone, Peter opens his laptop to check a mail.
PETER (V.O): OMG, the afternoon meeting was scheduled to begin from 2pm and not 3pm...Ah, that's Seoul time!
Very quickly, Peter enters the conference room and sees a group of PARTICIPANTS. All are delighted to see him.
PETER: My apologies!

We see Peter giving red packets to SECRETARIES.
PETER (V.O.): This is the first time I return to chambers in the Chinese New Year.
INT. HOME - 18:30
Returning, Peter is delighted to see his WIFE.
PETER (V.O): What an unfamiliar sight! She used to return home at around 9pm on a workday.
PETER: Hi Darling!
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 22:30
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "From Seoul to Service..." to a text.
PETER (V.O): From giving back to society and making positive impact, I derive fulfilment and joy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I like to spread joy by recognizing and appreciating the efforts of those working with me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And I love to spend quality time with my loved ones, strengthening bonds and fostering happiness.
