From Snoring to Support


  1. FADE IN


  2. Act 1


  3. INT. BEDROOM - 00:30


  4. Lying in bed, PETER sleeps peacefully, Suddenly, his mobile starts ringing and we hear "No caller ID".


  5. PETER (V.O.): It must be a scam call, how inconsiderate...


  6. Half-awake, Peter ignores the call.


  7. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'm only sleeping.


  8. After a while, his mobile rings again. Peter is fully awake.


  9. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): What desperate message has the caller left behind?


  10. Grabbing his mobile and listening to the message, Peter just hears some noise.


  11. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): How annoying!


  12. Deleting the message, Peter goes to bed again.


  13. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I don't know if I can sleep well during the night.


  14. Act 2


  15. EXT. CAR REPAIR SHOP - 10:15


  16. Looking tired, Peter watches a PROPRIETOR and a MECHANIC fixing the connections of the brake lights of a green Beetle.


  17. PETER (V.O.): My wife drives to work every day. I detected the problem early in the week and it's only on a Saturday that I can have it fixed for her.


  18. The Proprietor tests the brake lights and they are alright now.


  19. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The problem isn't new, the proprietor might not have any expectation to get paid for a job not well done.


  20. Anyhow, we see Peter passing a red note to the happy Proprietor.

  21. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): They've done lots of work. I've to show support.


  22. INT. BEDROOM - 11:30


  23. Peter's WIFE wakes up as Peter coughs a few times.


  24. PETER: You slept very well that I don't want to disturb you...I feel I stayed awake last night.


  25. WIFE: No, I heard you snoring...I need to go to the Post Office to collect my collectibles...


  26. PETER: I'll accompany you. We can buy breakfasts for the children and us afterwards.


  27. WIFE: But you've been coughing.


  28. PETER: Okay, I'll have some cough syrup right away. You go first! I can catch up with you.


  29. EXT. ESTATE PARK - 11:45


  30. Runing along a trail, Peter sees no sign of his wife.


  31. PETER (V.O.): Starting early can reach far. It's also good I can exercise my body.


  32. EXT./INT. POST OFFICE - 12:00


  33. As he enters via the front door, Peter sees his wife entering via the back door. Having got her collectibles, Peter's wife examines the items against those listed in the invoice.


  34. PETER (V.O.): My wife gives attention to details.


  35. MONTAGE OF PETER'S STRUGGLE TO SLEEP


  36. A. Wearing an eye mask, Peter goes to bed.


  37. B. After tossing and turning, Peter gets up to write Google Maps reviews.


  38. END MONTAGE


  39. INT. BEDROOM - 16:30


  40. Peter sees his wife entering.


  41. PETER: Done your Saturday shopping already?


  42. WIFE: Not yet...I've been working frantically to mitigate my damages.


  43. Seeing his wife's embarrassing expressions, Peter becomes restless.


  44. WIFE (Cont'd): I've been tricked into giving someone a few thousand dollars via a link which has disappeared soon after I made payment.


  45. Peter's face exhibits signs of tension and concern.


  46. WIFE (Cont'd): I've already stopped future payments and cancelled the credit card...I still have to report the case to the Police...


  47. PETER: Reporting the case online should be convenient.


  48. EXT. PET-FRIENDLY PARK - 18:00


  49. Peter and his wife are walking Kaji, the family pet.


  50. PETER: Should I compensate you for your money lost?


  51. WIFE: No, I'll manage.


  52. Act 3


  53. INT. BEDROOM - 22:00


  54. Working on a laptop, Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "From Snoring to Support..." into a draft.


  55. PETER (V.O): It's a story of change, connection and the power of relationships.


  56. Pausing.


  57. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It highlights the significance of being there with each other through thick and thin.


  58. Reflecting.


  59. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When facing challenges, my family refuse to let the circumstances define us and we choose to deal with them head-on.
