INT. STUDY - 19:30
PETER opens his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): What has happened today should set the tone for my week.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Tomorrow, I'll go to my Mum's home to fix a few things.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On Wednesday, I'll visit Cheung Chau. The last time I went there was seven years ago.
Checking his phone diary.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On Thursday and Friday, I've two HKUST engagements.
Peter begins to type on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just hope that I won't get any disruptive professional work to do.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, HKUST - 09:25
Having put dim sums and a cup of orange juice on the table, Peter chats with LADY#1 who is sitting on his left.
PETER (V.O.): Good to hear her positive feedback on my songs that I occasionally shared in our chat group.
Soon, the COUNCIL transacts its businesses. Peter asks for the floor occasionally.
INT. COUNCIL FOYER, HKUST - 13:15
Council MEMBERS are having a buffet lunch. LADY#2 chats with Peter.
PETER (V.O): If the meeting was held on Tuesday, she couldn't join. I used to hold "ILA" meetings on Mondays. ILA stand for "Inspire, Liberate, Achieve".
INT. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, HKUST - 13:45
Having transacted all Council businesses, the CHAIR makes closing remarks.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, there'll be a small ceremony to mark the outgoing President's legacy.
Taking a look of the PRESIDENT who is sitting on his right, Peter also observes there're now small red block-out curtains on the portrait wall.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): His portrait would be hung there, alongside other former council chairmen and presidents.
We see the Chair and the President opening the curtains together in front of cameras.
EXT. SIVERSTRAND BEACH - 15:15
Sunny. Lying flat on a floating platform, Peter covers his face with his hands.
PETER (V.O.): Yesterday, there were thunderstorms. A change in weather is sufficient to recreate myself.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Quitting a job one loves is hard. I felt that eight years ago.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): By default, I began my monthly travelling hobby and continued to write songs and make music videos.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That was the time when I didn't have my websites and didn't write daily screenplays.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And my voluntary work schedules weren't as busy as now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): By luck, a friend introduced me to join a set of chambers five years ago.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Private practice as a barrister was something I longed to do.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since 2017, I've been contributing in Google Maps and got over 59 million views of my photos posted.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):And since 2019, I've been contributing in Quora and my answers have attracted over 7 million views.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): These are my little ways to leave a legacy. In giving back, I feel like a king. And here's my paradise.
END FLASHBACK
Act 3
INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS
As Peter turns on the TV, we see news of the late Queen Elizabeth II's State funeral.
PETER (V.O.): Moving on with the rest of my life starts with goodbye.
When Peter turns on Apple-Fm on his smart phone, we hear the late John Lennon singing "In My Life".
PETER (V.O.): Working in retirement, I'm capable of doing anything that I want to do.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When life gives me any day, I'll make it shine.
Peter closes his laptop.
