Act 1
INT. DINING ROOM - 08:15
PETER is feeding KAJI with some bread.
PETER (V.O.): I 'm going to take a blood test in a Chai Wan clinic and can't have anything.
Feeding.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I can't let my pet dog down. We've the habit of having breakfast together.
Having screen time, Peter checks an answer request on Quora
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): "What is the key to having it all?" That's the main question.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If one is willing to work for career, family etc, is having it all easy?
Peter leaves home with his WIFE.
Act 2
INT. CLINIC, CHAI WAN - 10:30
Having helped himself to an arm blood pressure monitor, Peter checks the readings on a chit.
PETER (V.O.): It seems that I'm still reasonably healthy.
EXT. STREET, CHAI WAN - 10.45
Alighting from a mini green bus, Peter notices an old MAN stationing in front of a crossing.
PETER (V.O.): It seems that he's preparing something.
Then, Peter sees the old man squatting to the front before rising up to take a small step. And then, the old man rests in standing position.
Peter sighs.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When my Dad couldn't walk properly, he refused to use a walking stick, not to mention a wheelchair.
EXT. CHA CHAAN TENG, CHAI WAN - 11:00
Sitting in a corner, Peter uses his smart phone to scan a QR code to read the menu on screen.
PETER (V.O.): The signature breakfast set is "Pig Liver Macaroni", available until 11:30. It's new to me. Should I try?
Scrolling up, Peter sees the lunch meu from 11:00 and reads "Bitter Cucumber Roast Pork Rice".
FLASHBACK
INT. CASTLE PEAK HOTEL - DAY (1970)
At a corner, STAFF including Peter (16) are having a meal. The food on a round table includes "Bitter Cucumber with Roast Pork".
PETER (V.O.): The hotel doesn't offer roast pork to customers. But staff have roast pork in every meal.
Eating quickly.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They didn't taste good but fed hungry stomachs.
END FLASHBACK
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I must order it. I haven't had it since the Hotel closed down in 1974 to make way for realty development.
Later, a dish of "Bitter Cucumber Roast Pork Rice" is put on the table.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It does look like the one I often had back in the early 1970s.
Peter takes images of it before eating.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While it tastes the same as I had, the texture of the roast pork is a lot better.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, this meal isn't a staff's free meal.
INT. STUDY - 16:00
Peter finishes a brief phone conversation.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, I've to appear in court tomorrow. Good that I chose to go the clinic today.
EXT. SWIMMING POOL - 19:45
Swimming, Peter is recalling something.
PETER (V.O.): Earlier, another Quoran asked me "What point is there in aging with grace?"
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I simply replied "not all have the privilege".
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If one lives for having it all, what one has is never enough.
Act 3
INT. DINING ROOM - 20:45
Accompanied by Kaji at the table, Peter and his wife are having dinner.
WIFE: Our elder daughter has begun her residential driving course in Matsumoto in Nagano.
PETER: Yes, I'm glad she has taken the initiative. She's our only family member who can learn anything in Japanese.
PETER (V.O.): Having it all is about having what one values the most.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe I'm already having it all.
Peter passes a treat to Kaji which is now hiding under the table.
