INT. SOMEWHERE IN TIME
Open space. Peter's DAD is showing a young PETER a white kite.
PETER: This kite looks special.
DAD: It's modern design. It flies better. You'll like it.
PETER (V.O.): Dad knows I love flying kites.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Dad taught me how to do my first maths and sing my first song.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And he gave my life to me.
END DREAM SEQUENCE
Act 2
INT. BEDROOM - 08:15
Alarm ringing. Peter wakes up.
PETER (V.O.): I've had another immersive dream.
Peter takes a look of his sleeping WIFE.
PETER: Time to get up...
PETER (Cont'd): I believe I've recovered from Covid.
WIFE: But you still sound different.
Peter clears his throat.
WIFE (Cont'd): May be you should take a RAT.
PETER (V.O.): Why not - to protect my family.
PETER: Yes, sure!
Without delay, we see Peter doing his RAT and the "one-line" result.
PETER (Cont'd): Darling, I've got "one-line" only.
INT. STUDIO - 10:30
Peter is listening to soft rock music.
PETER (V.O.): Last week, while I was having Covid, I listened to David Gates' "Everything I Own".
MONTAGE OF PETER'S MEMORIES
A. From speakers with flashing lights, we hear: "You sheltered me from harm, kept me warm, kept me warm..."
B. Going places, Peter (3) sits on the shoulders of his Dad.
C. In bed, Peter's Dad covers Peter (3) with a quilt.
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My Dad then was a photographer. He worked for "Chiu Yin Po".
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He taught me how to take photos. He showed me how to develop films and enlarge images in the dark room.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He loved to take me to his harbour-view office. And I loved watching ferry moorings there.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Only when we moved to the New Territories did I begin flying kites in the fields.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While I was having fun, my Dad had to work in the "Sun Wing" iron foundry at Tin Ha Road.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He gave me all of his photographic gears including single-use flashbulbs and a pair of binoculars.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd show off my possessions to impress my classmates and teachers during primary school picnics.
Sighing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It hurts to realize that my Dad hasn't been here with me for nearly 10 years.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 22:45
Peter works on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): My late Dad was never rich, but he had a heart of gold.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel he's watching over me and knows that I love and miss him.
Peter stares his AI drawing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Until we meet again...
Daydreaming.
FADE OUT
