Act 1
INT. STUDY - 08:30
PETER is writing a cheque.
PETER (V.O.): I've the urge to go swimming in Repulse Bay today.
Peter puts casual wear into a black bag.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll take my wife's car lift to Central to go back to chambers to pay rent. Then I'll go to the beach.
EXT. CITY HALL - REPULSE BAY - 11:00
On board a route#6 bus, Peter watches the passing Wan Chai scenes.
PETER (V.O.): Many of the roadside shops are new...the old Hopewell Centre and Wu Chung House have to stay.
The bus then turns right into Stubbs Road.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On Wednesday afternoons from 1995-1996, I used to drive this route to Stanley to see my son boarding at St Stephens...
The bus continues to manoeuvre the long and winding road.
Act 2
EXT. REPULSE BAY - 11:30
Peter puts his black bag not far away from a lifeguard tower on the right hand side of the beach.
PETER (V.O.) : Within his sight, he'd guard my possessions incidentally.
Without hesitation, Peter swims towards the floating platform on the far right of the beach.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having trained myself in Golden Beach, I'm confident that I can swim to the platform safely.
Peter takes a look of the residential buildings on his right.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A friend who took me to a golf course in 1996 used to own one of those apartments. He told me he sold it for 18 million.
We see on the beach about 100 people, mostly in small groupings.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If I'm living nearby, I'd come here to swim everyday.
Before climbing up the platform ladder, Peter checks the water under it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No fish?
On the rocking-and-rolling floating Platform#1, Peter lies flat.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is heaven on earth to me.
During sunny intervals, Peter covers his face with his hands.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let it be my mission today to swim and stay in all the floating platforms.
Later, as Peter climbs up Platform #2, he sees a female SWIMMER enjoying sunbathing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): All can feel what's heaven on earth.
After awhile, the female swimmer leaves.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm all by myself again.
Later, Peter rests on Platforms#3 and then Platform#4, all by himself again. He takes a look of Platform#5 on the far left of the beach.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It appears there's a couple up there.
Laster, as Peter swims towards Platform#5, we see on the rocking-and-rolling platform a WOMAN sitting on the laps of a MAN; and they're embracing each other.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm definitely an unwanted nuisance. But I don't want to abort my mission either.
While the man has his back on Peter, the woman facing Peter sees his approach. Abruptly, she changes her sitting position.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Heaven on earth needn't be a spot. It's actually a matter of choice.
As Peter climbs up Platform#5, the man and the woman separate. Peter walks past them quickly and leaves without looking back.
INT. BEACH RESTARANT - 14:30
Sitting in a corner, Peter does his order. Soon, an Ice Lemon Water is put on his table.
PETER (V.O.): The demolished Lido Restaurant was here. I worked as a bartender during the Summer holidays of 1973. I worked 12 hours each day.
Sipping his Ice Lemon Water.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The senior bartender whom I worked with was killed in a gang fight in Winter that year.
Then, a plate of Fried Noodles is served.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The price of a plate of Fried Noodles in Lido Restaurant was $9.90. In Yuen Long restaurants, the price was $1.80.
Peter takes a look of the bay view.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here's Repulse Bay. And this's the first time I've stayed here for a few hours enjoying, and not working.
Later, Peter pays the bill in cash.
PETER: Keep the change.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 19:00
On YouTube, a band is singing "Afternoon Delight" on location.
PETER (V.O.): Nothing is worth more than today. I can't relive the past and the future is beyond reach.
On YouTube, the Classic IV is singing "Traces" in a TV studio.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I've had the nearest substitute I could get today.
On YouTube, the Seekers are singing "I Will Never Find Another You" in a recording session.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've taken good care of some of my memories today.
