Finishing a bottle of lemonade, PETER is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.): Days ago I heard a melodic song called "Here Comes Summer".
Peter surfs the web for videos on "Here Comes Summer".
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a 1959 song sung by Jerry Keller.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Living in Central at the age of five then, my concept of seasons was quite blur.
On screen, Peter reads the lyrics: Here comes summer, school is out, oh happy day. Here comes summer. I'm gonna grab my girl and run away...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since age 15, I worked every summer.
Peter reads on: Here comes summer, we'll go swimming every day, let the sun shine bright on my happy summer home.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. TUEN MUN HIGHWAY - 12:30
Under the sunshine, Peter is driving a silver Eunos 30X coupe with windows and sunroof open.
PETER (V.O.): Sunshine and fresh air are hard to beat.
Driving.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like sunny hours and summer days.
EXT. GOLDEN BEACH - 13:15
Towing a cyber-green buoy, Peter is swimming in the sea along at the outer edge of the swimming area.
PETER (V.O.): The water is calm and cool.
Swimming frog stroke leisurely.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The mind is like the water. When its choppy, it's difficult to see. When its calm, everything looks clear.
Swimming free style leisurely.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here's like heaven on Earth, I feel so comfortable and free.
Observing the environment.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How beautiful this world can be!
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our water world is unique. How lucky I'm to be part of it.
Peter continues to swim.
INT. LAKESIDE RESTAURANT - 14:45
Having enjoyed a Pork Chop Croissant, Peter drinks a big cup of Ice Chocolate.
PETER (V.O.): After 45-minutes of non-stop swimming, life goes better with them.
EXT/INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 16:00
Driveway. Having driven away the SMART car onto the garden, Peter jump-starts his Nissan SILVIA 13.
PETER (V.O.): I don't own any boat; I take good care of my old cars.
Terrace. Playing a black electric bass up there, Peter observes occasional passers-by down the road.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Playing bass let me dream sound out subtly.
Studio 1/F, Peter tunes a black electric rhythm guitar before playing on the beat.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Life is like playing any guitar: tune, play and repeat.
Peter repeats playing joyfully.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm having a good time in my happy summer home.
EXT. SAN TIN HIGHWAY - 19:15
Traffic jam. Driving past an accident scene, Peter sees the front of a truck smashed.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Accidents hurt, safety doesn't.
Driving steadily in the middle lane, Peter sees other cars in the fast lane speeding past him.
END FLASHBACK
Act 3
INT. KITCHEN - 22:45
Peter turns on a lamp.
PETER (V.O.): Summer is a season.
Peter opens the fridge.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Summertime is like a song.
Taking out a papaya, Peter cuts it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today, I've had a deep breath and taste of the sweetness of summer.
Tapping Google Photos on screen, Peter checks images.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Too many good ones.
As Peter taps a video link on screen, we hear someone singing: Here comes Summer...
