Act 1
Alarm ringing. Standing by the bed, PETER sees his WIFE waking up reluctantly.
PETER: Do you have to wake up now? It's only 10 o'clock.
WIFE: Yes, I still have to pack something to be stored in our NT home...
PETER: It should be good if we depart from there to the Airport at 5pm.
WIFE: But I need to go to the market to buy fresh food for the hotpot dinner tonight.
PETER: Alright, I'll go swimming while you do the shopping. And then we go to our NT home to download our stuff before going to the Airport.
Peter's wife gets out of bed,
PETER (Cont'd): It's so nice that our elder daughter's coming home!
PETER (V.O): Our nest is quite empty.
Act 2
INT. LIVING ROOM - 13:00
Peter sees a storage box packed with clothes.
PETER (V.O): I'd better store more of my guitars in our NT home.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): We want to make our home a bit spacious to welcome our elder daughter home.
Hearing Ding! from his mobile, Peter checks a WhatsApp message.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Oh, our elder daughter has boarded the plane.
Peter types on screen: Good, we'll meet at the Airport!
INT. SILVERSTRAND BAY - 14:00
Standing at the beach, Peter stares at the floating platforms in the Bay.
PETER (V.O): I must swim safely today...
Peter is lying flat on a floating platform.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I don't enjoy doing my favourite thing today...
Leaving the platform, Peter swims back to the beach.
EXT/INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 16:30
Having parked their car, Peter takes out one of his guitars and stores it in his home studio on 2/F.
PETER (V.O): We can't wait to see our homecoming daughter.
As he walks downstairs, Peter sees his wife struggling to carry the storage box upstairs.
PETER: Let me help you with that!
As he swiftly bows to lift up the box from his wife, Peter suddenly becomes fixed.
PETER (Cont'd): I feel a sharp, searing pain in my back...
WIFE: Oh dear! Let me carry the box again!
Passing the box to his wife, Peter slowly straightens up.
PETER: I've put undue strain on my aging body.
Sighing.
PETER (Cont'd): I've overestimated my abilities. I'm 70 now, not 17!
WIFE: You need to be careful!
Peter nods, a mix of embarrassment and realization crossing his face.
EXT. ROADS TO AIRPORT - 17:45
Peter's wife is driving. Sitting in the passenger seat, Peter checks a flight status.
PETER: Landed.
WIFE: She has to wait for the baggage. We should be able to greet her in the arrival hall in time.
INT. ROADS TO TOWN - 18:45
Inside their car, the elder DAUGHTER sits behind Peter. Peter's wife is driving.
DAUGHTER: Before I go home, I've to see a friend who will fly off to Canada tomorrow ...She's immigrating...
PETER: The whole family?
DAUGHTER: No, just her and her boyfriend. Their parents will stay in Hong Kong.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 22:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Homecoming Rhapsody..." to a draft.
PETER (V.O): Homecoming is a joyful event.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The anticipation and the reunion with our elder daughter are significant moments filled with rich emotions.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): For my family, there's always warmth and belonging.
