  4. INT. BEDROOM - 08:00

  6. Soft lights filter through the curtains, casting shadows across the room. PETER wakes up, glancing at the clock.

  8. PETER (V.O): I've to play the role of pallbearer for Sam today.

  9.  

  10. Pausing.

  11.  

  12. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It's my responsibility to honour Sam as he deserves.

  13.  

  14. Recalling.

  15.  

  16. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Last night, my wife and I paid tribute to Sam. The funeral parlour was crowded.

  18. Recalling.

  19.  

  20. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): We learned that Sam died in Japan just days before he and his wife completed their around the world cruise.

  22. Pausing.

  23.  

  24. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've researched on causes and symptoms of sudden deaths...

  26. Act 2

  28. INT. UNIVERSIAL FUNERAL PARLOUR - 10:00

  29.  

  30. Filled with MOURNERS. At the altar, Sam's photo sits surrounded by flowers. A Buddhist NUN leads the rituals and chants softly. Peter follows.

  32. PETER (V.O): I must also follow the hand positioning.

  33.  

  34. Recalling.

  35.  

  36. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Yesterday, someone kindly corrected my hand positioning, and I felt ashamed.

  38. Recalling.

  39.  

  40. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I studied in a Buddhist primary school and was formally a Buddhist follower. How can I forget...

  42. Hearing "Bow", Peter and OTHERS bow. Suddenly, he spots a familiar face.

  44. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Is he Sam?

  46. Peter's eyes widen in disbelief. He compares the face of the man with Sam's photo at the altar. He talks to YK who is following him in the rituals.

  48. PETER: Have you noticed a mourner who looks very much like Sam?

  49.  

  50. YK: Yes, I do.

  51.  

  52. PETER (V.O): Okay, I'm not hallucinating...

  53.  

  54. Later. Peter, YK, MICHAEL and three other PALLBEARERS put on their gloves.

  56. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm playing a leading role.

  57.  

  58. As the moment arrives, Peter steps forward, putting his hand on the polished casket. Others follow. Soon, they march with the casket toward the exit.

  60. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): With each step, memories of Sam flood my mind.

  61.  

  62. EXT. WO HOP SHECK CREMATORIUM - 12:00

  64. Alighting from a coach, Peter sees the look-a-like Sam around.

  66. PETER (to YK): I can't resist my impulse to talk to him.

  67.  

  68. Peter engages the man.

  69.  

  70. PETER: I'm Peter...You look just like Sam.

  71.  

  72. MAN: I get that a lot. I'm Raymond, Sam's twin...

  73.  

  74. PETER: As Sam's twin, did you get any cue?

  75.  

  76. RAYMOND: My wife passed away a month ago...

  77.  

  78. PETER: Oh, I'm very sorry.

  79.  

  80. RAYMOND: And after that, I still felt a sense of impending doom...

  82. PETER: You thought it was just grief...until hearing about what happened to Sam...

  84. INT. CLUB RESTAURANT - 14:30

  86. Mourners gather for a meal, sharing stories and memories. Peter sits with YK and CLARENCE.

  88. CLARENCE: When Sam arranged a retirement party for you, I joined. You played the guitar to showcase creativity.

  89.  

  90. PETER (V.O): I thought Clarence was a stranger to me, until now. Sam's death brings us together again.

  91.  

  92. Nodding, Peter leans in closer to Clarence. They continue their chat.

  93.  

  94. EXT. TAI PO KAU MTR STATION - 15:30

  96. Peter says goodbye to YK.

  97.  

  98. YK: I'll send you my concert invitation!

  100. PETER (V.O): Sam always believed in the power of friendship. Even now, he's still connecting us.

  104. INT. BEDROOM - 23:30

  106. Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled: "In Sam's Shadow...." to a draft in his laptop.

  108. PETER (V.O): A funeral isn't just about mourning; it also serves as a gathering for friends and family to reconnect, share memories and support one another.

  112. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Remembering and celebrating the deceased can provide comfort and help individuals move through their grief, reinforcing the idea that love and memories endure.

  116.  PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Even after Sam's passing away, his legacy and the connections he fosters continues to bring people together.
