EXT. PROMENADE - DAY
Strolling, KAJI, the PACK LEADER and PETER see a GIRL playing with a thing.
KAJI (V.O.): I believe the thing is her toy.
We hear SOMEONE urging the girl to leave.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems that she can't be separated from her toy.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): At home, I've my toys all over the place.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): My job is to make a big mess with my toys.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I play with them whenever I want.
Act 2
EXT. PROMENADE - CONTINUOUS
FLASHBACK
INT. HOME - DAY (Earlier)
Having searched her toy box, Kaji grabs a stuffed ball with her mouth and shows it to Peter.
KAJI (V.O.): I want you to play with me now.
As Peter launches the ball in the air, Kaji jumps up to fetch it.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel excited to dominate my prey!
END FLASHBACK
Kaji observes the girl's toy.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Her toy has lights.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've seen much bigger ones on the roads.
Observing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Her little toy is quiet.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): All my toys can squeak too.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): If her toy is mine, I'll get a squeaker out of it.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): However, I'm on a leash. I can't go and train her.
PACK LEADER: It's late now. We're going home.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I got your message...
Both Kaji and Peter are staying put.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I wish to hang out with the little girl and her toy...
The Pack Leader then grabs up Kaji and puts her inside her carrier cart.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, dear!
PACK LEADER: If we follow your pace, we may never go home!
Kaji stares at Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't think he can help.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know women do as they please.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peter and I have got used to it.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But compromise brings happiness to none.
Reflecting.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Am I a toy for the Pack Leader and the Gang?
Act 3
EXT. PROMENADE - CONTINUOUS
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've never thrown away my toys. I'm a good member of the pack.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Linking with the pack at all times is the most noble thing I can do.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even if I'm a toy, I'll always be their most favourite one!
