Act 1
INT. HOME - DAY
Main door opening, KAJI sees PETER returning. She climbs up at him.
KAJI (V.O.): What have you brought home?
Looking up at Peter, Kaji sees him showing her a loaf of bread.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Great! I like the appetizer.
Hearing Kaji whining a little, Peter taps on a dining chair.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, he doesn't have to squat down to my eye level.
Swiftly, Kaji jumps onto the chair. Immediately, they share the bread.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Great satisfaction comes from sharing. I don't need any "Okay" cue.
Soon, there's no more bread.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even so, I always look up to Peter.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. PET GARDEN - YESTERDAY
Having got light, Kaji waits at the gate.
PACK LEADER: No, you go and play...
KAJI (V.O.): I prefer strolling in the Promenade.
PETER: She wants to go to the Promenade.
PACK LEADER: But her appointment with the saloon will be in 30 minutes...
PETER: You walk her there, I'll drive the car to the Promenade to pick you two up.
Exiting, Kaji leads the way to the Promenade, while Peter walks in the opposite direction.
EXT. PROMENADE - LATER
Having enjoyed the strolling, Kaji looks up and sees Peter arriving with a car.
KAJI (V.O.): Peter never lets me down.
INT/EXT. DOG'S SALON - LATER
A STAFF is blowing Kaji's fur.
KAJI (V.O.): I hate the sounds coming from that thing.
Kaji puts a hand onto the staff's hand. But the staff uses her other hand to work on Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is a stressful place. I want to leave as soon as possible.
Later, when Kaji is with the Pack Leader again, she sees Peter arriving in a car.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Saving my world, Peter is really the one to look up to.
END FLASHBACK
Resting in a chair, Kaji sees Peter returning home with bags bearing a double-arch logo.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): There're pancakes inside.
Licking her lips, Kaji waits no time to guard the food on the table. Peter sits with her.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's always comfortable to sit with Peter. The size of the chair doesn't matter.
Soon, Peter feeds Kaji with some pancakes.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, I love pancakes!
Seeing that, the Pack Leader grabs Kaji to sit with her.
PACK LEADER: You've just had your proper meal. You're fat!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): No, it's just my fur.
Sneaking under the Pack Leader's armpit, Kaji looks up.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Isn't it all about giving rather than taking? Can I have some pancakes?
Kaji sees the Pack Leader putting a tiny bit of pancake on the table.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Without getting her "Okay", I can only look at it. How pathetic!
Kaji looks up to the Pack Leader again.
Act 3
INT. HOME - CONTINUOUS
FLASHBACK
EXT. PROMENADE - YESTERDAY
Kaji looks down at the ground.
KAJI (V.O.): It has an ending,
Kaji looks up at the sky.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's endless.
RETURN TO PRESENT
IKAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Yes, always look up.
Kaji hears the Pack Leader saying "Okay!"
