Act 1
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
KAJI sees the door opening.
KAJI (V.O.): The Pack Leader and Peter are coming back.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They left home after midnight.
Kaji goes to the door to greet them.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hi there! Oh, a Gang Member too!
Kaji jumps on the Gang MEMBER.
MEMBER: Oh, you haven't been longing for me in earnest.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm not expecting you. But my welcome is sincere and intense.
Kaji then sees baggage.
Act 2
INT. DINING ROOM - MORNING
Seeing the Pack Leader, Peter and the Gang Member taking seats at the dining table, Kaji looks alert.
KAJI (V.O.): There's food on the table. I must join them.
Kaji sees a vacant space on the Gang Member's piano chair.
MEMBER: Can she jump up and land like a jet on an aircraft carrier?
PETER: She can "jump-fly" like a martial artist now.
Aiming at the spot, Kaji jumps-and-flies up to the chair and sits steadily.
PETER: See!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's a word in earnest.
The Gang Member then puts a bread bit in front of Kaji.
PACK LEADER: Okay.
Kaji doesn't react.
PACK LEADER (Cont'd): Okay!
Kaji stays put.
PETER: Surprise! Why?
PACK LEADER: I didn't give her the food.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've a high sense of duty and responsibility. I won't misbehave.
MEMBER: OK!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's another word in earnest.
Kaji grabs the bread bit with her tongue.
INT. SITTING ROOM - AFTERNOON
From her toy box, Kaji selects a tennis ball with her mouth and passes it to Peter.
KAJI (V.O.): Let's play.
As Peter throws the ball at her, Kaji bumps it into the air. Peter echoes with the bumping sound.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Shooting the ball like that is fun!
Smiling and waiting in earnest, they repeat the fetch game until Kaji shoots the ball into an entrapped corner.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where's the ball hiding?
Kaji investigates in earnest.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would it come out by itself? I'll wait.
Later, Kaji sees the Pack Leader leaving.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Without me and Peter?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I won't whine.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):I'll wait in earnest for your return.
Daydreaming.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When you return, I hope we'd do something good together.
Act 3
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
Resting on her sofa, Kaji observes Pack Leader and the Gang treating Peter.
KAJI (V.O.): Today is special. We've had a little dinner party, featuring Peter.
Pausing.
JKAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peter must have sowed something in earnest in the past and is now harvesting.
'
Reflecting.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've now realized for the first time in my life the vital importance of being earnest.
