EXT. PAVEMENT - NIGHT
Leading the PACK LEADER and PETER, KAJI walks past an enclosed compound.
KAJI (V.O.): I know I've lost my paradise.
When both the Pack Leader and Peter peep through the barriers, Kaji waits.
PACK LEADER: Everything's gone.
PETER: The work project doesn't mean for pets anymore.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I didn't anticipate that. At first, I was overwhelmed.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe I've adapted to the change.
The party then walk towards the promenade.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. HOME - DAY (YESTERDAY)
KajI is observing the Pack Leader.
KAJI (V.O.): She's packing my stuff.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although she doesn't say so, I know we're going out soon.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But Peter isn't ready. We always go out together.
Seeing Peter at a corner, Kaji stares at him.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why are you hiding here? We're going out!
Peter stares back at Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): You don't get my cue?
Walking towards the door, Kaji turns her head to look at Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do you get my message now?
Peter stands up and prepares to leave.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He can be trained.
EXT. PROMENADE - LATER
Kaji, the Pack Leader & Peter arrive.
KAJI (V.O.): They want me to poop quick, but I prefer staying here longer.
Having walked to the far end, Kaji poops at a spot.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel good to poop at my favourite spot.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): If I get a chill after a large poop, I feel even better.
Later, Kaji poses as a model for the Pack Leader and Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's how I reward them.
RETURN TO PRESENT
MONTAGGE OF KAJI'S USUAL BUSINESS AT THE PROMENADE
A. Kaji goes to the far end again to do her business.
B. Kaji poses as a model for the Pack Leader and Peter.
C. Leaving, they walk towards a Park.
END MONTAGE
EXT. PARK - LATER
Kaji sees a STRANGER with his MASTER.
KAJI (V.O.): Oh, he is crippled in one hand. Was he born with the disability?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Did his master adopt him? If so, how did he adapt to the new home?
Separated by the Master, Kaji gives the stranger a compassionate look.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): How could he adapt to the challenges?
Act 3
EXT. PAVEMENT - LATER
KAJI (V.O.): We can't undo what's done. But we can cope.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We can change to improve. If we change often, we can be better.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): And the best change agent is love!
The party walk towards an estate.
FADE OUT
