As the front door opens, KAJI's ears perk up.
KAJI (V.O.): Who's it?
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday night, a gang member came home and brought me lots of treats.
Seeing PETER returning, Kaji's eyes turn bright. She bounces towards him.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me check if he has brought me anything.
Kaji directs her attention towards Peter's hands.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can smell bread.
Following Peter, Kaji's body wiggles with excitement.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our breakfast time!
Act 2
INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
Putting the bread on the table, Peter pulls out a chair.
KAJI (V.O.): I must join him.
MONTAGE OF KAJI'S PREPARATION TO JUMP
A. Focusing on the chair, Kaji takes a step back.
B. Kaji calculates the distance and determines the force to be applied.
C. Kaji estimates the height and analyses the landing spot.
D. We see Kaji's muscles tensing in anticipation.
E. With a burst of energy, Kaji propels herself upwards.
F. Aiming to land safely on the chair, Kaji reaches out her front legs.
G. In a seamless motion, Kaji lands gracefully on the chair.
END MONTAGE
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've flown again, with style!
As Peter joins her, Kaji moves to the edge of the chair.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me slip my head under Peter's arm. It's quite a secure and comforting spot.
We feel the bond between Kaji and Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's the way we sit and enjoy our breakfast together.
Peter breaks off a small piece of the bread and offers it to Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, ladies first.
Kaji delicately takes it from Peter's hand. Then, Peter breaks off a piece for himsself.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): And then, my turn.
Peter breaks another piece and puts it near Kaji's mouth.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our connection strengthens with each sharing.
INT. BEDROOM - DAY
Blinking her eyes open, Kaji wakes up in bed from a nap.
KAJI (V.O.): Let me go out to check if anyone's home.
Then, Kaji notices a black bag on the floor.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I jumped up onto the bed earlier, there was nothing there.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's quite a hazard. Will I have a safe jump?
Cautiously inching closer to the edge of the bed.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): No, my jump would be very risky. I'd play safe.
Hesitating, Kaji retreats to her bed spot.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll wait. Peter and others may come to my rescue.
MONTAGE
A. Kaji is in a mobile cot. As the PACK LEADER is carring and placing her on the ground, we hear Peter's gentle and reassuring voice: Fly...
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Having placed a small ball near Peter's feet, Kaji waits for cues.
KAJI (V.O.): I'm still adaptable and open to whatever solutions to overcome challenges.
As Peter grabs the ball and holds it in his hands, Kaji prepares to jump.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Evaluating the risk and trusting my instincts, I make calculated moves as a "flying fur".
Seeing the falling ball, Kaji jumps up and uses his nose to shoot the ball into the air again.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's flyng again! Through practice, I believe I can also "fly" better each time.
