Act 1
INT. HAICHI SAWA SUPERB, MONTEREY PLACE - NIGHT
At a roadside table, KAJI is sitting next to the PACK LEADER facing PETER.
KAJI (V.O.): This restaurant is quite nice.
A STAFF brings some treats to Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Good service. But I'm not sure if I've the appetite.
The staff puts the treats on the table.
The Pack Leader serves Kaji one treat with her hand.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll try one then.
Having eaten part of it, Kaji regurgitates a small bit of it.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm not sure if my stomach would agree with this bit.
The Pack Leader picks it up and puts it on the table.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. PET GARDEN, MONTEREY PLACE - EARLIER
Leading the way, Kaji arrives at the entrance.
KAJI (V.O.): We only come here occasionally. But I remember it.
Kaji finds her favourite spot to get light.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The pet garden here is smaller than mine. I won't be choosy.
Then, a FAMILY of four approach Kaji. They touch Kaji affectionately.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The great thing about new friends is that they bring new energy to me.
Wigging his tail, a black-and-white STRANGER begins to engage with Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, he's twice my size.
Then, their attention turn to a little GIRL who is holding a red ball.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Throw it! And we'll fetch!
The Stranger jumps high to fetch the red ball as Kaji watches.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He flies higher than me.
As the game is repeated, Kaji loses her interest.
INT. SITTING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Jumping up onto a sofa to join Peter, Kaji puts her body on him.
KAJI (V.O.): Not only that I feel comfortable, it's also my sign of love. Peter should know how I feel.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just then he has shared some bread with me.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We usually do that in the morning, but...
INT. SITTING ROOM - MORNING
Seeing Peter coming back with a piece of bread in hand, Kaji isn't responsive.
KAJI (V.O.): I don't feel well.
Kaji vomits some brown liquid onto her floor bed.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's so uncomfortable.
PETER: Oh dear!
Peter cleans up Kaji's vomit.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I eaten something that doesn't agree with my stomach?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I haven't had anything this morning.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I couldn't have eaten more than I could handle.
Worrying.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would my vomiting be life-threatening?
END FLASHBACK
Act 3
INT.HAICHI SAWA SUPERB, MONTEREY PLACE - CONTINUOUS
As dishes of food are put on the table, Kaji watches the Pack Leader and Peter eating.
KAJI (V.O.): It seems that the food here can't be bad.
As the Pack Leader passes the treats to her, Kaji chews and consumes them all.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): My eating habit has recovered.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel fine now. Everything is fine.
FADE OUT
