Act 1
EXT. STREETS - YESTERDAY
KAJI, the PACK LEADER and PETER exit from a pet garden.
KAJI (V.O.): Let me lead!
PACK LEADER: Follow us!
As Kaji hesitates, the Pack Leader and Peter walk in front of her.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't like to follow.
Stopping.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why don't we've a change of scenery?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): And you two don't even walk beside me.
Kaji holds on.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. STREETS - DAY (LAST WEEK)
Kaji, the Pack Leader and Peter see birds hanging around the shrubs along the walkway.
KAJI (V.O.): The Pack Leader and Peter must expect me to chase the birds.
The Pack Leader and Peter focus on Kaji's reaction.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I won't chase the birds. I've done that before.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):I've learned that they can fly, but I can't.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We live and let live.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like to go where there' s no path so that I may leave a trail behind.
The Pack Leader is pulling Kaji's leash.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I insist that we should be adventurous.
Kaji stays put.
PETER: Follow us!
KAJI (V.O.): No, I know the scenery will be the same.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Apart from some food and a little affection, this is a small thing that I want.
Kaji holds on.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't know why they insist on walking the old way.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): If we start to walk out on the way, the way appears.
The Pack Leader is staring at Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): You don't have time to do it right?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): To give up too easily leads to regret.
Kaji refuses to walk.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know our difference will create a trust barrier.
Abruptly, the Pack Leader picks up Kaji and puts her inside a carrier cart that Peter is handling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh dear, at least I've tried.
Sitting inside her moving carrier cart, Kaji looks embarrassed.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even if the world falls apart, I'll be there for the Pack Leader and the Gang.
Having crossed a few junctions, the Pack Leader puts Kaji back on the ground.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe the Pack Leader can hear my heart.
Kaji does her wet dog shake before moving on.
END FLASHBACK
Act 3
INT. STREETS - TODAY
Kaji, the Pack Leader and Peter exit from a pet garden.
KAJI (V.O.): I'll lead you to the right direction.
Kaji on a leash leads.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Trust me, unfamiliar paths can lead to beautiful places.
Side by side, they walk along happily.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): They've hearts like me. Like pet, like master.
