Act 1
INT. HOME - DAY
Hiding under the table, KAJI has already had her harness on.
KAJI (V.O.): I know we're going out soon.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But to where? My paradise is lost.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've been counting the days I've missed.
Then, Kaji hears PETER saying "Kai Kai" and sees the PACK LEADER pulling the carrier cart.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll find out soon.
Together, the Pack Leader, Peter and Kaji leave home.
Act 2
EXT. STREETS - LATER
Getting out from her carrier cart, Kaji looks around.
KAJI (V.O.): Where're we now?
PACK LEADER: Let's try a new route.
PETER: Yes, she likes to explore.
At several crossings, Kaji first stops and then goes.
KAJI (V.O.): Loud noises aside, I don't smell anything good,
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't see any friends or strangers either.
Then, they make a detour.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me lead them to the promenade.
Soon, they walk past some white-and-orange barriers.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): My paradise was here. But it has been closed.
They walk towards the sea front.
EXT. PROMENADE - LATER
Sitting on a bench, Kaji poses as a model for the Pack Leader and Peter.
KAJI (V.O.): They always like to do that. I just act silently.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Smelling the sea and feeling the breeze, I'm at ease.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Pack Leader forced me to swim once.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's good that she doesn't repeat that.
Kaji sees birds flying over her.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Pack Leader has never forced me to fly...
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): There're times when I got so excited to go outside that I feel that I might start to fly.
Later, they walk past two patches of grass.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They look nice. I should have got light here.
FLASHBACK
EXT. FERRY PIER - EARLIER
Walking along a concrete path, Kaji suddenly stops to obey the calls of nature.
KAJI (V.O.): I just can't hold it anymore.
Kaji sees the Pack Leader and Peter smiling at her.
PACK LEADER: She used to have her requirements.
PETER: She has to accept the reality though.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. HOME - NIGHT
At the dining table, Kaji sits among the Pack Leader and the GANG.
KAJI (V.O.): There's no time to be bored in the promenade...
Kaji gets a small treat.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):...or at home.
Kaji gets another small treat.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Loving the little things in life, I've learned to make the days count.
