EXT. THE MILLS, NT - NIGHT
Being enclosed by GROUPS#1-3 of people with handheld devices, KAJI, in red-white costume, is posing on a stack of stairs.
KAJI (V.O.): Having looked at me, they seem to find the world has faded.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What extra-something have they discovered?
Observing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): A star has been born? A beauty in their eyes?
We hear people talking about..."Santa"...
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Me, "Santa"?
Pondering.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's being thrusted upon me is surprising.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
MONTAGE OF KAJI'S ACTIVITIES FOR THE LAST FORTNIGHT
A. A fortnight ago. The Pack Leader and Peter leave home without Kaji.
B. The week before last. Kaji observes that the Pack Leader and Peter are busy with a pet turtle.
C. Last week. The Pack Leader and Peter aren't enthusiastic to play with Kaji.
D. Days ago. Kaji sees that Peter bringing home a toy turtle.
E. Yesterday. The Pack Leader and the GANG leave home without Kaji again.
END MONTAGE
INT. HOME - YESTERDAY EVENING
Soon after the return of the Pack Leader and the Gang, Kaji hears Peter saying "Kai Kai".
KAJI (V.O.): Is that right? Can I believe my ears?
EXT. PARADISE LOST - LATER
Leading the Pack Leader and Peter, Kaji, in red-and-white costume, runs around yellow-white barriers.
KAJI (V.O.): I still can't see the entrance.
PACK LEADER: She's undeterred.
PETER: How would she know her paradise has gone for good?
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems that I've lost my garden.
EXT. PROMENADE, KOWLOON - NIGHT
Arriving, Kaji sees groups of PEOPLE, and a few PETS with their MASTERS.
KAJI (V.O.): I don't see familiar faces.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): More importantly, my favourite spots to get light are gone.
Kaji begins to explore.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe I've to settle for the second best.
Having obeyed the calls of nature, Kaji leads the Pack Leader to run in different directions.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here, I'm always on a leash. I hate that.
Later, Kaji is brought to sit on a bench. She has to pose as a model for the Pack Leader and Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): So unnatural, I hate that too. But what can I do?
Soon, GROUP#4 approach Kaji and point handheld devices at her.
Group#4:..."Santa"...So cute.
Then, GROUP#5 approach Kaji and point handheld devices at her.
GROUP#5: ..."Santa"...
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): How come I've become "Santa'?
END FLASHBACK
Act 3
INT. MALL - LATER
Restaurant. As the Pack Leader and Peter take their seats, a STAFF presents a special cushion for Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.): Me as "Santa", I'm well treated.
When food is put on the table, Peter has no hesitation to pass some to Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't care about the name "Santa". I feel that to be "Santa" can't be bad!
Groups#6-#8 walk past. Staring at Kaji, we hear them saying:..."Santa"...
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've a hunch that it's time for love in action.
Kaji has eye contacts with them. SOME touch Kaji lovingly.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Welcoming, I give my love to those who love me.
FADE OUT
