Act 1
INT. LIVING ROOM - THE NIGHT BEFORE
Staring at KAJI, the PACK LEADER and the GANG look anticipating.
PACK LEADER: Come tomorrow, you'll have joined us for seven years!
KAJI (V.O.): Seven years? What do you mean? I'm only interested in the present.
PACK LEADER (Cont'd): To celebrate, we've reserved for a New Year's Eve dinner in a pet-friendly restaurant!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Eating out?
PACK LEADER (Cont'd): At midnight, we'll do the New Year countdown and watch the firework displays together!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've seen them before. They aren't treats.
GANG: Yes, we'll have a great time!
Act 2
INT. BEDROOM - MORNING
Kaji rises in bed.
KAJI (V.O.): There's a change from darkness to lightness.
Kaji takes a look of PETER beside him.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He's still sleeping.
Listening.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I hear no sounds from the kitchen.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The maid usually prepares breakfast for us around this time...
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When she isn't doing that, I've learned that we may go out later.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): That's good. But it also means that I'll have a hungry stomach...
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, somehow, I don't have any urge to eat...
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Actually, I feel discomfort in my tommy.
As she begins to cough in a hunched posture, Kaji wakes up Peter and gets his attention.
PETER: Oh dear!
Peter watches Kaji vomiting on the beddings.
PETER (V.O.): That's fine.
As a subdued Kaji has got off the bed, Peter sees undigested dog food on the beddings. The Pack Leader then appears.
PACK LEADER: Oh my god! Is that the way to celebrate the seven-year anniversary?
Peter and the Pack Leader work together to clean up the mess.
KAJI (V.O.): I can't help it...
INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER
Kaji sees the Pack Leader and Peter leaving.
KAJI (V.O.): Without me? Is that the punishment?
INT. ROADS TO PROMENADE/MALL - LATER
Together with the Pack Leader and the Gang, Kaji takes a back seat of a car.
KAJI (V.O.): It's better than not going out.
As the car is driven past the promenade, Kaji whines.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why doesn't Peter stop here? Am I such a bad girl?
Later, we see the party strolling inside a mall - Kaji in her carrier cot.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why can't I stroll like all of you? Haven't I been punished enough?
As the party enters a restaurant, we see Kaji staying put in her carrier cot.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I beg for your pardon...
While Kaji looks very bored, we hear Peter saying: Let her rest in a chair...
Act 3
EXT. DREAMSCAPE - NIGHT
Walking through the realm of a midnight mirage, Kaji sees HUMANS gathering.
KAJI (V.O.): What are they anticipating?
In a charged atmosphere, we hear rising chorus: Four...three...two...
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont 'd): Are they going to bark?
After hearing "one", Kaji senses cheer erupting.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Something is going to change forever? Me too?
The surroundings are filled with sights and sounds of fireworks.
