INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
With sad eyes, KAJI sees the PACK LEADER and the GANG gathering their things.
KAJI (V.O.): They don't take any of mine.
Observing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know they're going out without me.
Kaji is restless.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The maid left early this morning and didn't prepare breakfast for Peter and me.
As he exits, Peter gives Kaji a sympathetic look.
PACK LEADER: The maid is on leave and we've some New Year business to do.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Be back soon...
Act 2
INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER
Kaji wanders around, sniffing the air.
KAJI (V.O.): I just hope that there's something that might excite me.
Kaji spots a green ball next to her toy box.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I remember playing fetch with a Gang Member not too long ago.
Kaji picks up the ball and then drops it.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): No one is home now.
Kaji retreats to his kernel at a corner.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like its physical support.
Getting inside her den.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): This den is my private territory.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): No one can claim it.
Kaji looks assertive.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): All respect my space.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel safe and calm here.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Home alone, I don't need to be seen.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I just want to confine to my nest, escaping from the emptiness.
Kaji prepares to sleep.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before their return, I conserve my energy.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When anyone returns and can't see me, they'll check my corner.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I love getting the attention of my loved ones.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's the main reason why I'd retreat to my corner, if I'd no better things to do.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I miss going to the riverside park. It's been so long since I've had good fun.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): As no one's home, I 've many options eg acting wildly.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But as a good dog, I shouldn't do that even when no one is watching.
Later, Kaji leaves his corner to check the main door.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why they aren't home yet? Is missing them a part of loving them?
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Seeing their return, Kaji jumps up onto the Pack Leader and the Gang in turns, enthusiastically.
KAJI (V.O.): I can create a more loving environment.
As Peter settles down on a sofa, Kaji goes to lick his nose.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I express my love regularly and unreservedly to those around me.
As Peter pets Kaji lovingly, we hear the Pack Leader remarking: She'll have a good treat!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): As there're gestures of support, I feel included, valued and loved.
