Act 1
INT. SITTNG ROOM - MORNING
On a sofa, KAJI sits next to PETER.
KAJI (V.O.): We wake up around the same time.
Peter caresses Kaji's body gently.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Can you feel my individual ribs?
Peter continues to pet her as if there's nothing strange.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm hungry.
Seeing the PACK LEADER appearing with food, Kaji gets to her meal bowl.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): You woke up late again.
Finishing her meal, Kaji begins to lick her bowl.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm a bowl-washer.
Act 2
INT. PET GARDEN - EVENING
Entering, Kaji's FRIENDS can't wait to welcome her.
KAJI (V.O.): Hi there! I'm a greeter too!
Seeing MASTER#1 holding a ball, Kaji is on alert.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm a ball inspector.
As Master#1 throws the ball, Kaji outruns her friends. But she doesn't grab it.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The ball isn't mine. I inspect it only.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.): Have I forgotten something?
Sniffing her way, Kaji walks past her favourite flower bed.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): My personal toilet isn't new. I like a cleaner spot to poop.
Walking past newly planted grass, Kaji stops.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Here's new, no toilet scent. Let me make it mine.
After pooping, Kaji gets close to Peter.
PETER: Let's go "Kai Kai" then.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Oh, that means we aren't going home yet. Great!
SEQUENCE OF KAJI'S CITY WALK
A. Pier. Having introduced to a NEW FRIEND to Kaji, Master#2 lowers her body to hug Kaji. Kaji reciprocates warmly.
B. Pavement. A PASSER-BY is using a smartphone to capture a video of Kaji's cat-like walking. Kaji continues to walk elegantly.
C. Convenience store. Seeing the main door locked in chains, Kaji stops to inspect if there's any activity inside. Other PASSERS-BY follow suit.
D. Mall entrance. Having led the Pack Leader and Peter to it, Kaji stops to let the Pack Leader put her inside her cot carrier.
END SEQUENCE
INT. MALL - NIGHT
Shop front. Kaji and Peter wait.
KAJI (V.O.): I feel a bit tired.
Suddenly, we hear a loud noise. Kaji's ears go tightly back.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's that?
PETER: Someone has caused a nuisance.
Then, we can hear background easy-listening music.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've calmed down now.
Kaji's eyes look soft and relaxed.
PETER: Oh, you're sleepy.
PACK LEADER: That's her expertise!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, I'm quite a sleep expert.
Act 3
INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT
Finishing her meal, Kaji licks her bowl.
KAJI (V.O.): Licking is my expertise. I lick Peter's face too.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I greet everybody well, whether old friends or new acquaintances.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):Oh yes, inspecting and sniffing are my expertise too.
Pausing.
;KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I've got to gain further sleeping expertise, or I can't beat the Pack Leader.
Kaji walks towards the bedroom, alone.
