Act 1
EXT. STREETS - NIGHT
KAJI leads the PACK LEADER and PETER.
KAJI (V.O.): I know very well the route to my outdoor toilet.
Running.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): While I'm content just to get light there, I won't lock myself down into one thing.
Waiting before a red light, the Pack Leader and Peter are chatting. Kaji observes their gestures.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):'I've a hunch that tonight's arrangement would be different.
Running again.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It'll be magic if we start something new.
At the pet garden entrance, Kaji sees two FRIENDS greeting her.
Act 2
EXT. PET GARDEN - CONTINUOUS
KAJI (V.O.): Hello, you two are wearing funny light-up collars.
Running past them, Kaji goes to her favourite spots to do the usual thing, locking her eyes with Peter's .
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm looking to him to protect me when I'm in the vulnerable pooping position.
Kaji scratches the grass.
PETER (to Pack Leader): She's a happy girl.
KAJI (V.O.): Yes, I'm.
PETER: "Kai Kai"?
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I never argue with my hunch.
Quickly, they exit.
EXT. PROMENDADE - LATER
Focusing on the concrete pedestrian walkway, Kaji gets a cue from the Pack Leader.
KAJI (V.O.) : To go to the waterfront this time?
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We've never done that in the past, although I'd love the adventure.
Kaji steps on the wooden walkway with in-ground lights.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, it's comfortably different.
Soon, they see a notice board.
PETER: Let me take a photo of her here.
PACK LEADER: Stay.
As Peter is taking photos of Kaji, WOMEN#1 and #2 appear.
WOMAN#1: Can we take a photo of her?
PACK LEADER: Sure!
Smart phone in hand, WOMAN#2 is finding an angle.
KAJI (V.O.): I don't know why people like pointing that thing at me all the time.
Kaji observes Woman#2's gestures.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Like others, she'd hold herself still for a short while, and then she'd look pleased.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But nothing has happened in between.
Later, the Pack Leader and Peter lead Kaji to walk towards a music fountain.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It looks like an open-air torture chamber.
PETER: Let's take photos of her here.
As she is grabbing Kaji to sit on the edge of the fountain, the Pack Leader slips over.
KAJI (V.O.): OMG! Be careful!
Then, we hear someone shouting in the dark.
SOMEONE: Pets aren't allowed in the fountain area!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sounds very unfriendly.
Act 3
EXT. STREETS - LATER
They walk towards the city lights.
KAJI (V.O.): I've enough nerve for any new possibility. I also trust the magic of a new beginning.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've everything I need - a home, an outdoor toilet and a waterfront garden.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I love new possibilities. They're inexhaustible.
FADE OUT
