INT. DINING ROOM - DAY
Having breakfast with PETER, Kaji glances at her stroller in a corner.
KAJI (V.O.): I haven't used it recently.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Pack Leader and Peter took issue with one of its wheels.
Getting her share of bread from Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, the Pack Leader took the wheel off the stroller and dipped it in a pot of water.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's very uncomfortable. The wheel vomited bubbles.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's an unfamiliar sight.
Act 2
INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER
Sofa. The PACK LEADER places a backpack next to Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.): Anything wrong with my stroller? I love being carried around in my stroller though.
PACK LEADER: Do you want to go "Kai Kai"?
KAJI (V.O.): "Kai Kai" again? Didn't we go yesterday?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I shouldn't argue further.
The Pack Leader helps Kaji to settle inside the backpack.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Actually, I love this new daily routine.
EXT. SUNG WONG TOI PET GARDEN - DAY
Rainy and wet. Just Kaji, the Pack Leader and the Gang.
KAJI (V.O.): No friends or foes. Where have they all gone?
Kaji pees and poos at spots she likes.
INT. CAR PARK - LATER
Together with the Gang, Kaji waits inside a car.
KAJI (V.O.): The Pack Leader comes here more often than before.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): She used to leave home early in the morning and asked me to get the lift for her.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd wait all day for her return. When she's back, I'd bark loudly.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): And now, she wakes up late and leaves home with me most of the time.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't have to wait for her return and there's nothing for me to bark for.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm worried about the Pack Leader. She seems different.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe Peter feels the same. I notice that he's accompanying the Pack Leader more than me.
The Pack Leader returns, carrying loaded bags with her.
PACK LEADER: I've bought from the market all the stuff I need for preparing the dinner.
PETER: Good.
PACK LEADER: Next destination: Vet Clinic. Our pet has to have a routine injection.
KAJI (V.O.): One of the new routines?
INT. VETERINARY CLINIC - LATER
Examination table. Seeing the VET holding a syringe, Kaji tenses up.
VET: Here we go.
Act 3
INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT
Sitting at the dining table with the Pack Leader and the Gang, Kaji is observing.
KAJI (V.O.): There's a new Gang member. Change brings new opportunities and experiences for growth.
Kaji watches them eating.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): During times of transition, I consider the feelings of others and try to be emphatic.
Then, the Pack Leader and the Gang pass Kaji treats.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Like them, I thrive on stability and love.
DAYDREAMING SEQUENCE
A. Day. Kaji carries a backpack with the Pack Leader and the Gang inside.
