INT. HOME - DAY
The doorbell rings. KAJI perks up from her spot.
KAJI (V.O.): That can only mean one thing...the Pack Leader is back!
Eyes bright with recognition, Kaji barks sharply.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I seldom bark, but our maid isn't in sight.
Appearing, the MAID rushes to the front door.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Open the door! Don't keep my Pack Leader waiting!
As the PACKLEADER steps inside, Kaji jumps onto her legs.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): You're back! I've been waiting for you.
The Pack Leader runs her hand on Kaji's fur happily.
PACK LEADER: Hi there! Good girl!
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. HOME - NIGHT (A week ago)
Resting in a sofa, KAJI's ears perk up.
KAJI (V.O.): I hear some sounds outside.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.): Who's coming home?
As the door opens, Kaji sees Gang MEMBER#1.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I haven't seen her for a while.
Gang Member#1 bends down, wrapping her arms around Kaji in a warm embrace.
MEMBER#1: I missed you so much! Did you miss me?
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Missing you?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Never mind...Have you got treats for me?
INT. HOME - NIGHT (Days ago)
Resting in her sofa, Kaji's ears perk up.
KAJI (V.O.): I hear some sounds outside.
Kaji reacts cautiously.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's very late at night.
As the door swings open, Kaji sees an unfamiliar face.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Who's he? More importantly, is he a threat?
Kaji runs to the entrance to sniff him.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, he isn't a stranger, I remember his scent.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He hasn't come here for quite a while.
Kaji jumps on his legs. Then, Gang Member#1 appears after him.
MEMBER#1: Don't just welcome my friend!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm inclined to welcome any new member into my territory.
Kaji then welcomes Member#1 casually.
RETURN TO PRESENT
INT. HOME - NIGHT
Kaji patrols the premises.
KAJI (V.O.): Peter is working in his study, while the Pack Leader and the maid are busy cooking.
Kaji notices the main door opening.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Who's intruding?
Kaji sees Member#1 and her friend, then MEMBER#2 and MEMBER#3.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, my responsibility is getting heavier.
Act 3
INT. HOME - LATER
Kaji watches the Pack Leader and the Gang, chatting with someone via a device.
KAJI (V.O.): As the only Shiba Inu of the family, I need to protect my expanding pack.
Kaji is on alert.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): As a loyal pet, I'll shield my loved ones from harm. I don't know if a threat would come from that device.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): To their core, they regard me as their darling, and I see myself as the pack protector.
