Act 1
INT. HOME - DAY
Lights on. KAJI, a Shiba Inu with round eyes and a tightly curled tail, is eyeing at a toy box.
KAJI (V.O.): Let me pick my prey of the day.
Kaji's nose twitches as she rummages through a collection of colourful toys.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like hunting any animals.
Having got a monkey-like prey between her jaws, Kaji's eyes light up with excitement.
KAJI (V.O.): Who should be my hunting partner this time?
We follow Kaji and see the cool PACK LEADER, PETER and a warm Gang MEMBER.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The obvious choice is the one who didn't go to the promenade with me yesterday.
Kaji brings her prey to the Gang Member who is sitting near the corridor.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The corridor is a suitable spot.
Act 2
INT. HOME - CONTINUOUS
Having released her prey to the Gang Member, Kaji gazes at it.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm ready. Let the hunt begin!
Seeing the prey flying along the corridor, Kaji's eyes express anticipation and joy.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's mine!
Jumping up, Kaji clenches the prey between her jaws in no time.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes! I get you!
We hear the prey squeaking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I love hearing that.
Subduing her catch, Kaji shakes her head from side to side and her tightly curled tail bounces with each movement.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is exhilarating!
Kaji repeats a few times before releasing the prey to the Gang Member.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let's play again!
Anticipating more playful pursuits, Kaji's round eyes shine with excitement.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do you get my cue?
Seeing the prey flying in the air again, Kaji dashes to the corridor again and returns with the prey in her mouth triumphantly again.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's great fun, quite unlike what happened yesterday.
FLASHBACK
EXT. PROMENADE - YESTERDAY
Serene but wet. At the heart of it all are Kaji and the Pack Leader.
PACK LEADER: We've to leave.
KAJI (V.O.): No, we've come here just for a very short while.
PACK LEADER (Cont'd): We're late for your grooming appointment.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't care what is it. I don't want to leave.
Kaji plants herself firmly at a spot.
PACK LEADER (Cont'd): Come on, Peter's car is far away from here.
As Kaji refuses to budge steadfastly, the Pack Leader makes a call.
PACK LEADER (To phone): Peter, you've to pick us up...I can't walk her to the parking lot.
Soon, we follow Kaji and see Peter arriving in a car. The Pack Leader and Peter then grab up Kaji and put her inside the car.
KAJI (V.O.): They're rather unkind...
Inside the car, we hear loud and clear remarks:...you naughty dog!...don't sit on my lap...
EXT/INT. PET GROOMER - LATER
We follow Kaji and see the entrance.
KAJI (V.O.): Oh, the torture chamber again.
Being served by STAFF there, we hear Kaji's FRIENDS whining.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems that coming here regularly are pet owners' playful pursuits.
When it's Kaji turn, she whines from beginning to end. The Pack Leader looks on smilingly.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. HOME - NIGHT
Resting on a sofa with the Pack Leader and the Gang, Kaji is in thoughts.
KAJI (V.O.): Embracing my instincts, I bite my prey with all my might.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I find joy in the process itself. I'm not concerned if my preys end up dead or alive.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe playful pursuits should reduce stress and enhance the well being of anyone.
FADE OUT
