FADE IN
Act 1
EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - NIGHT
KAJI is leading the PACK LEADER and PETER.
KAJI (V.O.): I'm very familiar with this park.
Running on the grass.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I thought we wouldn't come out tonight as we were here yesterday night.
Sniffing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't smell the sweet aroma.
Sniffing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The air isn't as refreshing as yesterday night.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - THE NIGHT BEFORE
Following Kaji, the Pack Leader talks to Peter.
PACK LEADER: It's raining.
PETER: Yes, without rain, there's no life.
KAJI (V.O.): I feel water gently dropping on my fur. That's raining, I see.
Running and sensing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's quite soothing, actually.
Kaji's ears are perking up.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can also hear the rhythm of the rain particularly on the grass.
Observing the environment.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Everywhere is wet. My paws too.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): At home, everywhere is dry.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Anyhow, what I'm experiencing is very different from the cruel treatment I got in torture chambers.
Kaji sees the Pack Leader holding an umbrella.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peter doesn't seem to bother.
We hear Peter saying: Let's go to the waterfront park too.
EXT. WATERFRONT PARK - CONTINUOUS
KAJI (V.O.): It's beyond my expectation we'd come here in the rain.
Kaji sees a COUPLE sitting in a pavilion with bags on the table.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me join them and check them out.
Jumping up onto the bench, Kaji sits close to the couple.
PACK LEADER: Come on, don't intermeddle with others' togetherness.
KAJI (V.O.): I believe my eyes are filled with affection too.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They should also feel the warmth of my companionship.
Turning her head, Kaji steals glances at the Pack Leader and Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Their cues are that I should leave now.
Reluctantly, Kaji leaves the couple to walk with the Pack Leader and Peter in the rain.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): How come my vision has become blurred?
Eyes blinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Anything wrong with my eyes?
Stopping, Kaji uses her paws to rub her eyes.
PETER (to the Pack Leader): Oh, the rainwater is blocking her vision - our darling's first experience.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): No matter what, I'll forge ahead with our adventure.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - CONTINUOUS
Having made her mark, Kaji kicks the grass happily.
KAJI (V.O.): Being outside, even in the rain, is special.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, we didn't just get wet. We had our rainy adventure. I'd embrace any new experience.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Rain or no rain reminds me that life with loved ones is unpredictably beautiful anywhere, anytime.
