Empty. Kaj lies on the floor, observing the silence.
KAJI (V.O.): Everyone is gone, just the Pack Leader and me.
MONTAGE OF KAJI'S OBSERVATIONS ABOUT THE PACK
A. Days ago, a masked PACK LEADER returns home with special treats just for herself.
B. A day later, a masked gang MEMBER#1 leaves home with a big baggage.
C. Another day later, the masked MAID leaves home, also with a big baggage.
D. Masked gang MEMBER#2 runs occasional errands, bringing food home.
E. From time time, a masked PETER appears but leaves soon thereafter.
END MONTAGE
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel the void left by their absence.
Act 2
MONTAGE OF KAJI'S OBSERVATIONS ON THE PACK LEADER
A. Kaji sees the Pack Leader resting in a large chair.
B. Kaji sees the Pack Leader hitting keyboards before a foldable pad.
C. Kaji sees the Pack Leader eating meals alone, and her special treats in the morning and at night.
END MONTAGE
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't understand why all these happen, all of a sudden.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before that, the Pack Leader or the Gang would throw me a ball to chase...
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What followed was laughter resonating through the air.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Those were happy moments.
Pondering.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I done something wrong ?
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's true that they haven't taken me out to the park.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But both the Pack Leader and Peter wouldn't let me stay hungry.
Wondering.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Should I have protected them more?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Wandering in silence now, my spirit is unbroken. I'm searching for remnants of sounds that once were.
FLASHBACK
INT. HOME - YESTERDAY
Kaji gazes at the dark clouds outside and raindrops on window panes.
KAJI (V.O.): I'm frightened.
The Pack Leader then holds Kaji in her arms and let her cuddle up with her in a large chair.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm trembling, but the Pack Leader's support is consoling.
END FLASHBACK
Kaji takes a look of the Pack Leader resting in the bedroom.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When one needs support, wouldn't it be nice to be around someone that you love?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We're wandering in silence, but I'm with you.
Taking another look of the Pack Leader.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel like you and me against the world.
Act 3
INT. CORRIDOR - NIGHT
Kaji sees Peter appearing to see the Pack Leader for awhile and then leaves.
KAJI (V.O.): When others turn their backs and walk away, you can count on me to stay and protect you more.
Kaji stays guarding.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):That little solace in the silence is what I can loyally do.
DAYDREAMING
A. Riverside Park. Amidst the green grass and light-lit pathways, Kaji bounds through the open space.
B. Riverside Park. Kaji's nose twitches as if she gets familiar scents and her eyes sparkle as if she has forgotten all the worries.
