FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. SITTING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Sitting with the PACK LEADER and the PETER on a sofa, KAIJI is eyeing at the slices of oranges they're sharing.
KAJI (V.O.): I'd like to have some too.
The Pack Leader gives Kaji some.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Earlier, we shared pancakes. For food, I'm a high-profile pet.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): And before that my maid served me my 1st proper meal of the day.
Having got additional bits of oranges, Kaji looks out of the window.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a gloomy day. Will we be going out like yesterday?
Later, both the Pack Leader and Peter disappear, leaving Kaji at home.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. ROADS - MORNING
Standing on Pack Leader's lap, Kaji sniffs the air outside the car.
KAJI (V.O.): So fresh! I recall I was here not too long ago.
As Peter stops the car, a MAN get's inside.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He's a friend. He'd come to our home once in a while.
Encouraged by the Pack Leader, Kaji joins the man to sit in the middle row.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But his laps aren't as stable as the Pack Leader's.
Later, Kaji rejoins the Pack Leader.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can see cars and people going uphill. Are they worshipping something?
As the car stops and goes intermittently, Kaji sees PASSERSBY walking past them.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I think I can drive Peter's car if he lets me do so.
Later, they arrive almost at the top of a mountain.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can smell it's my first time here. No dog scent too.
As the Pack Leader and the man get off the car, Kaji joins Peter at the driver seat and observes the environment.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I see and smell people burning something in a distance. I'd better stay low-key.
Later, a little GIRL gets inside the car to play with Kaji. Peter opens the sunroofs.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We've privacy, playing inside the car.
Later, as the party departs, Kaji and the little girl sit at the back row together.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): While I can't smell much at the back, I've a better view by standing and holding tight to the seat in front of me.
Kaji continues to observe the moving environment.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hmm, I feel like driving Peter's car.
INT. APARTMENT - LATER
Sitting room. Kaji is playing the ball-fetching game with Peter.
KAJI (V.O.): Exploiting others' stuff is fine with me.
EXT. PET GARDEN - LATER
Entering, Kaji checks the environment.
KAJI (V.O.): We don't come to this one often. I love its grassy slope.
Having played on the slope for awhile, Kaji joins other STRANGERS and their MASTERS, ignoring the Pack Leader and Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where have the Pack Leader and Peter gone?
Noting the Pack Leader and Peter are outside the garden, Kaji goes to wait at a gate.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't think they'll leave me behind.
Together, they walk down another slope very quickly. And when they turnaround and walk up, they're at the tortoise pace.
END FLASHBACK
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday was a long and exhaustive day.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Staying home today is fine.
Act 3
INT. SITTING ROOM - EVENING
Kaji sees the Pack Leader setting up a laptop.
KAJI (V.O.): Another gathering among the Pack Leader and the Gang.
The Pack Leader ensures Kaji facing the laptop camera.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): For personal matters, I'm actually a low-profile pet.
We hear endless exchanges.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They already know everything about me.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I simply want to let my success speak for itself.
FADE OUT
